Perfect for a Sun-Kissed Glow
When I was a teen into my early twenties, I would slather my face and body with baby oil and literally "fry" my skin. The dangers of the sun's powerful and brutal rays were not fully known or discussed. My sister and friends all did the same thing. Later, we used tanning beds to keep a tanned look. But my experience with tanning beds ended early; I started to read more and more about the hazards. I began to embrace my porcelain skin. Actually, for most of the year I play it up with pink and rosy blushes and lipsticks. A few months of the year, I definitely feel out of my element when bronzed goddesses pass me as we vacation at the beach or even at the mall in the summer. "Beyond pale" just doesn't seem to make a statement then, especially when I'm sporting white linen clothing. An alternative? I do enjoy Jergen's "Natural Glow" products to give me a hint of color. In lieu of or in conjunction with that, I reach for a much-loved palette: ELF's "Golden Bronzer" ($3.00!). This four-color palette is available in "Cool" and "Warm" as well, but I find "Golden" the PERFECT way to highlight my skin in a way that is not overwhelming for fair skin. One shade is more of an illuminator than anything; another is slightly pink-infused and can be used as a blush. A third hue is a pure gold, and the fourth a slightly darker bronze. What I LOVE about this quad is that I can use the products separately to contour and highlight or swirl all four colors together for a perfect, gorgeous "sun-kissed" glow I normally cannot get, even if I were in the sun. The powders have a slight sheen to them, but not to the extent that they appear garish at all. I like the size of the compact (it has a full mirror but is sleek enough to slip into a slim purse or beach bag). This is good enough to compete with high-end bronzers. But why pay a fortune when you can get this quality at such a pittance? — 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

E.L.F. Bronzer
When looking for a bronzer I usually go for the ones with several colours in them. I think it make a more natural, sunkissed look. I use this one as a contour to give my face some definition. It is not too shimmery but gives my skin a nice healthy glow that I love! I tend to mix all 4 shades with my brush but I sometime use only the lightest for highlight. This products allows many many different look. I will definitely purchase it again. I use this product to contour my nose and as a bronzer. I like the glow it gives to my skin and since there is a bit of shimmer to it it's great for the summer. I probably won't be using this too much during the winter since I would prefer to have something more matte but during the summer it give you a nice glow. For contouring I think it's great! It doesn't make me look like I'm dirty (since I use the dark brown to contour). I do like that there is also a highlighting shade and a blush shade so it's almost like a 4-in-1 product. I think this is a good product, and for the price, definitely a bargain. Good size, nothing wrong with the packaging, and this product gives a good subtle shine, nothing too much. I agree however that this bronzer is not highly pigmented, but it is not necessarily only a bad thing. For light skin, and I am nw15, it makes it easier to work with, without getting too dark, "dirty" patches on your face. So I don't ever wear bronzer but this was so cheap and the colors were so pretty I couldn't resist. I'm an nc15/20 and bronzer isn't usually in the look I'm going for. This actually goes on really pretty and it's a nice introduction into bronzer. Its not as shimmery as I thought it would be and that's awesome! I like the light for highlighting and I tend to use that more often than the darker colors but overall this is a great combination of colors and I would recommend to a friend. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful
