Didn't do anything for me.

I love LUSH. ***WHY I LOVE THEIR COMPANY: They have great products that are unique and fun, they use minimally packaged to reduce waste, they are against animal testing (they use human volunteers instead), they use ethically sourced and strictly vegetarian ingredients, they recyle, reuse and compost, they use wind power, and they get involved in charitable campaigns. It's a company that I LIKE to ...read morebuy things from and am always excited to find new things to buy there. ***HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS PRODUCT: This was recommended to me by a LUSH employee that I really like, and who set me up with their Coalface soap, which is probably my holy grail facial cleanser. She gave me about a week's worth of sample product to test out Grease Lightning, which was super nice (and another reason I love to shop at LUSH!) Supposedly this will keep my skin clean and zap zits and fight bacteria due to the grapes, tea tree, rosemary, thyme, witch hazel and aloe. It sounds like a great combination of ingredients, so I was pretty excited to try it out. My skin is super oily and very, very acne prone, but this didn't seem to do anything for me at all. I like the texture—it's kind of jelly like, easy to apply to your skin, and it dries quickly without leaving a residue. It has a very faint herbal scent to it. But in terms of fighting acne, it didn't do a thing. Nor did it mattify my skin at all. It didn't make my skin worse, so this might actually be effective for somebody else, but sadly, it wasn't effective at all for me. The price is fairly reasonable (about twelve bucks for an ounce and a half). However, since it doesn't do anything, I'm going to give it a pass next time I'm at LUSH, and just stick with Coalface soap.

pretty good, for the price

I picked this up when I ran out of my Keihl's acne treatment. Its 3x the product for 1/3 the price. It's not quite as effective on the big zits, but works well for th eones that aren't full blown catastrophes yet.

Used after toner

I used this after toning to prevent future breakouts. As far as I can tell, it worked quite well. Great price too.

Hmmm.....

I wouldn't say this product lived up to expectations as a spot treatment. I had a killer pimple that I was trying desperately to get rid of or at least bring to surface. I put this on it for a few days and it did nothing. It eventually surfaced and I squeezed it. However I find that when I squeeze a pimple and get all the good stuff out, I dab some of this on the area and it soothes and heals it c...read moreompletely. It dries the spot up and leaves little to no scarring the next day. So for me, it doesn't work for what it's supposed to (spot treatment) but at least it works for something.
