Waste of money

This eyeliner was terrible from the second I put it on. It ran, smeared... even if you try to set it, it runs. Use revlon colorstay's pen.. way cheaper and better quality. — 1 year, 3 months ago

I strongly disagree with bad reviews for this product. I had brain surgery. So much of my skull near the left eye was removed that my eyelid on the left eye sometimes droops. Because of this, my pencil eyeliner was always coming off on the right hand corner of the eye. So, I started looking for a liquid eyeliner or a waterproof eyeliner because I thought it would stay on longer than the pencil. I tried products from Maybelline, Avon, Estée Lauder, Stile, Urban Decay, etc. Nothing was staying on. So, I went to my favorite store, Sephora, told a worker there about my problem, and asked for a suggestion. A young girl highly recommended Kat Von D tattoo liner. I figured anything with the name "tattoo" should work, so I bought it. And, it worked!!!! I no longer look in the mirror an hour after applying the liner and see nothing - I see a perfect black line. Plus, it is easy to take off. Now, when I first got it, I couldn't figure out how to get it "out." There was nothing to "dip" it in. But I soon learned if you give the tube a hard shake, pointed down in the direction of the brush, you're all set. Eye makeup is very important to me. People say my eyes are my best feature. So having the surgery and not being able to keep makeup on my left eye was heartbreaking. I will forever be grateful to Kat Von Z for their wonderful product and the young girl at Sephora who took the time to tell me about the product and recommended it. — 1 month ago

So I use to use the liquid eyeliner with the dipstick thing until I came across Smashbox Sweetheart collection eyeliner pen in black. It was the single best discovery I came across ever BUT they discontinued that line!!! I was heart broken n could never find such a rich black easy to use pen eyeliner until I saw this at Sephora. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!!! I love my Trooper so much. If u like liquid eyeliner then look no more... Grab Trooper n Maya that way u can have a well rounded day n night look. Brown for day n black for night (or when ur feeling a little more dramatic). PS If ur on a budget then swing by Walmart n grab Hard Candys version of this. i dont know why its getting such a bad rap but i love this eyeliner! if ur bad with liquids i wouldn't use it cuz one it dries (and it does quickly) its there. It stays all day, its precise and it has like a unique semi glossy finish. i just wish someone else made it — 1 year, 2 months ago

I've tried numerous eyeliners of this type and Kat Von D doesn't stand out in any way. It's staying power is okay but it does tend to smear if I use any under eye concealer or even the tiniest hint of any moisturizing product. The black is a solid black, which is a plus. The felt tip liner applies well, though it does tend to create a heavier line than many pen type eyeliners, so if you are the type who wants a very subtle thin line, this might not be the right choice for you. — 1 year, 3 months ago

I'm Not Impressed

I bought this liner to use for a dance performance in a small cabaret setting. I noticed when I put it on that the line looked grayish, not a dark black like I expected. I looked at pictures from the show, and I couldn't tell I had liner on at all. I thought I'd give it new life by using it to draw temporary tattoos, but it feathered and took forever to dry. I wouldn't repurchase, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. — 8 months, 2 weeks ago
