Cover FX Conceal FX Camouflage Concealer Reviews

Powerful--if used correctly
I work at a Sephora and I often see people returning Cover FX concealers because they complain it's too greasy. It can be more on the liquidy side, but it's one of those products where you have to shake it WELL for several minutes every now and then. It should be a thick liquid, not a puddle of goop. Anyways, there's a trick to applying this if you think this might feel greasy on your skin--use a sponge to blot it on. This absorbs the oily-like substance and leaves a nice rich pigment. I may appear to have medium skin, but I actually use the shade in Light. There's something in the makeup that allows it to automatically adjust to your shade and undertone so it matches. Like with any concealer--dab on with your finger, brush or a sponge over the area you want to conceal--do not swipe. This allows you to build maximum coverage using the least amount of product because the more you dab, the smaller and more pixelated the pigment becomes to blend in and look more flawless. This concealer can be built up to full coverage and can brighten even the darkest of dark circles. I do HIGHLY recommend to always use an eye cream--both in the morning and at night because the pigment in ALL makeup tends to dry the skin faster, and you know there's an absence of oil glands around your eye area to nourish the skin. Plus, using an eye cream makes applying all eye makeup (particularly concealer) much easier and more flawlessly. This concealer is very pricey, although you only need a little bit. Make sure to SHAKE well to prevent wasting product should it not be mixed properly and you see a puddle come out. — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Great concealer
I really like this concealer. It goes on really smoothly, does a great job of covering blemishes, and brightens up my eyes. The color was great for my skin. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Mixed Feelings.
I feel like you really have to work with this one to get it to look great. Definitely not a concealer for a morning you are running late. I bought this in Light, and after using it three mornings in a row, disliked it so much that I put it aside for a few weeks. I bought it in hopes that I could find something that would cover up my dark circles but not settle into my fine lines (I'm 26). On the first few tries it just made my little lines way more apparent, and I felt like I had to apply a lot to camouflage my dark circles. Then, the other day I was running low on foundation, and decided to try to streach it by spreading a thin layer of the Cover FX over my face before laying down the foundation. I felt like the thin application went on well, and continued to build the coverage around my eyes with VERY thin layers-waiting for dry down between each layer. The super thin layer method worked really well and I'm ready to reincorporate the product into my daily routine. It wears well all day, but I do agree with some of the other reviews that it is a bit drying. All in all this can be a good product if; you have the time to use it right, apply in very thin layers and use a good moisturizer. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

best I've found so far
I really like this product the girl at the store showed me how to use it and put it on for me because yes you have to build it up. it does take some time however for a woman who is 44 to get her circles to disappear buy more than half half is definitely worth the time and effort — 3 weeks, 4 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Since when was sallow yellow "light"?
I had high hopes for this brand, and now I'm about to chuck the tube because it's so incredibly useless to me. I got the Light shade because I have, well, light skin. To my horror I see this yellowish/tan goop come out! I thought, well maybe it will blend in. Nope. It left me with yellowy, orangey patches wherever I put it. To make matters worse, I then couldn't remove it without cleanser. Great for the people it works on, but a pain in the tchutkas for me. When I put it under my eyes, it made me look like I had jaundice and despite not having much eye area wrinkling, it settled into the ones I do have and made my under eye area look crepey. And how does it manage to be cakey and greasy at the same time? Grrrrrr. — 11 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Great for under the eyes to!
I have a small dark spot under my eye, more of a birth mark. Works perfect. Worth the buy. If you have any dark circles, this is a life saver. You can also use it as a eye lid primer. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Coverage at last!
I got a sample tub of this at Sephora and was exited to try it out! I got my mini brush and got a little bit out and put it on a pimple. I was AMAZED it was opaque and covered nicely. It stay throught-out the day even through my oilyness. I love it! It lasts FOREVER because you only need a little. Try it! — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Great Concealer!
This concealer comes in six, highly blendable shades. Right out of the tube, I thought the shade I picked (Light) was going to be totally wrong for me. It looked too dark and kind of orangey? But as I applied it and blended it into my skin, it miraculously dissolved and erased any blemishes and redness. Really cool! And best of all the texture is moisturizing, so it did not emphasis fine lines or leave my skin looking flaky like some concealers. It contains a built-in primer, is lightweight, and has a smooth, velvety finish. It really stays put and provides opaque, long-lasting coverage. It has the tendency to separate a bit in the tube, though, and become slightly oily, so you have to remove a little of the separated product if you have not used it in a while. Shaking it up a little bit before use might help. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 10 of 11 people said helpful
