Less Than Average...
The CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Mascara is a less than average mascara. This mascara is supposed to have colors in it to brighten your eyes but it is too subtle to make a difference. It went on thin and dried hard. So now I have spent extra money for a lighter than black mascara that is sub par to begin with. Nothing Special
I have the brown eyes version and other than it just being a regular mascara, there is nothing special about it. My eyes don't look brighter or it don't make them look any different than they normally do. It extends them naturally, its not clumpy, goopy or just all around too much. The bristles on the brush could be a bit longer towards the tip, but it seems to work okay for my lashes. Its only adds a little bit of length but no volume. Works as a good everyday mascara, but its not something I would wear if I wanted to make my eyes stand out. Does make eyes sparkle a bit

Probably doesn't brighten eye color, but a fun product anyway.
I have the version of this mascara for blue eyes, and it's a deep navy color with sparkles. I don't think it makes a noticeable difference in my eye color, but adds drama if you're looking for something other than black. Just as a mascara it isn't bad; it has a rubber brush which helps prevent clumps, and adds nice length. Also, it seems to hold curl well. I was pleasantly surprised by these things because I thought the quality might be lacking with such an emphasis on "eye-brightening." wish it had just a tad more color!
While I don't think the color I tried added much color to my lashes (Black Ruby-- slight aubergine tint), I do think it added a subtle sparkle which drew extra attention to my peepers without screaming "disco ball"! looks awful if you don't curl first
Exact Eyelights in Black Sapphire for blue eyes is an okay drugstore mascara, but you do need to use a lash curler before application- this is not a curl enhancing mascara. I did one with with a curler and one without, and the one without the lashes are all higgledy piggledy and poking all kindsa ways. With the curler, they're long and clump free. I'm not sure exactly what it is that supposed to 'brighten' the blue in my eyes (mine are green/blue/grey depending on what I'm wearing) but they do look sparkly. It is waterproof, and it lives up to that- no raccoon eyes. eye brightening just a gimmick
I don't believe this made my eyes any greener like it was marketed. Wearing a green shirt does a better job. It's an interesting concept just not sure it delivers. It is a decent mascara pretty much exactly the same as the LashExact mascara.
