My family has gone through every formula offered by Herbal Essences. We run into the same problem every time...build up. The first 2 or 3 times the shampoos and conditioners worked great and then they starting building up and giving all 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) oily roots and frizzy ends. This product smells good, and I really like some of the styling products in this line. However, my fine, color treated, damage-prone hair really needs a conditioner that is a bit more heavy-duty than this one. I've used all kinds of conditioners costing me anywhere from $.99 to $35.00 a bottle and it seems this works best for me. My hairdresser commented on how healthy my hair was - she was amazed considering I color my hair at home. I always ask about shampoo/conditioner recommendations and my current hairdresser told me "it's a personal choice" and she couldn't be more right! I LOVE this stuff! It leaves my hair smelling wonderful and it provides my hair with volume regardless if I curl, diffuse or straighten it. Perfect partner to a great smelling shampoo!

Okay, so maybe I’m not even in the ballpark of perfect like the model! But I did really like the products, it was pretty easy to achieve a more soft and tousled look so it’s an appropriate name for the collection. I used the Tousle Me Softly shampoo & conditioner then towel dried my hair until it was closer to damp than wet. I applied the Tousle Me Softly mousse all over my hair and lightly combed through my hair with my fingers. I also sprayed a little bit of the collection’s spray gel onto my roots just for good measure! I twisted parts of my hair up (about 5 sections) and away from my face and clipped them into place, letting them down as I dried that section with high heat, keeping the shape of the twist intact as I was drying it. You can cup the twist in your hand and lightly unwind it as it gets drier, I find that helps define more of a wave pattern instead of a curl– it’s all about the waves! Once my hair was dry, I lightly broke apart some of the tighter twisted sections into place with my fingers, almost raking them through then sprayed a decent amount of the Tousle Me Softly hairspray, and wah-lah! I was happy with the result, beach waves for a girl with shorter hair! Its Ok... WITH the shampoo.

I bought both the shampoo and the conditioner, and it sucked when I frist used it on my dry, frizzy hair. I was hoping it wound make my hair soft and more defined, but my hair was dull and dry. However, when i used it WITH the shampoo, mt hair looked... alright. Not my worst hair day. I purchased this with the matching shampoo and threw them both away. They both smell good, as do all of the Herbal Essence products, but it did nothing to my hair. Repeat of what I posted for the shampoo: First, I think that one needs to have the right hair to achieve the desired look without using curlers or irons. As you can see in my picture, my hair is pretty straight. It's pretty thick, though, so I get it layered with a razor. The last time I went to the salon, I asked for more texture. Since my hair weighed less, drew up into a slight wave when air dried. The shampoo and conditioner were on sale, so I decided to buy them to see if it would amplify what my hair was already trying to do. It worked! I have volumized roots and tousled waves when I let my hair air dry. Again, I give much credit to my haircut, but I definitely noticed a difference with this shampoo. There were some negative reviews about this shampoo drying out hair. My hair is dry on the ends from coloring my hair red up until early this year.
