major fallout
you have to be prepared to have this chalky color fall in little spreading chunks all over and under your eye, and to continue to do so all day, and i am NOT. also, not very intense as the color goes, more 'smokey' and not dramatic. not worth it, loreal. — 3 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Worth the effort
Works really well for smudged and smokey eyes. I didn't notice too much flaking or wearing off but I apply makeup over a primer, so maybe that helps. I love the colors and the added oomph they add to my eyes. Just a very little hint of shimmer to wake up the eyes. The applicator was also pretty forgiving for this clumsy person :) I was able to get the hang of the small application wand after just one or two tries. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great for the smudged liner look...
Personally I like these eyeliners. It isn't as highly pigmented as some of the more expensive kohl or powdered eyeliner but then it is MUCH cheaper. For black and gold I'd recommend going for the more expensive brands. I like the blue and burgundy shades in this line. If you touch your eyes a lot I wouldn't use this or any mineral make-up. I would also recommend using a primer before applying and saving your foundation/blush until after your eyes are done because you may have to wipe away any loose powder after applying. It gives you a sexy smudged line, blends well and has some great colors. As far as application, just gently line the eyes using short strokes because the applicator is quite stiff. — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Not a fan
For me, this eyeliner was hard to apply. The brush was too stiff and it didn't go on well. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Not really necessary
While the effect of this quite nice, if you aren't pretty experienced with makeup application it can be a bit problematic. I didn't really have fall out issues but the look just wasn't what I expected. It does give a nice smokey look but it wasn't as dark or pigmented as I like so it isn't going to be a repurchase for me. You can get the same look just as easily with shadows. — 2 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love it!
I’m kind of a dunce when it comes to any eyeliner that’s not shaped like a pencil. Liquid liner? Forget it. I might as well grab a Sharpie and draw all over my eyelid. I was afraid with the shape of the new L’Oréal HIP Kohl Eyeliner I was going to have the same issue. Contraire, ma soeur! The tip applicator is just stiff enough not to make a mess and provides the control my wacky right hand lacks. If you’re all thumbs like me, or just not very skilled in the art of liquid liner this may be for you. I’ve got this in #803 Brown Kohl and it’s just dark enough, but not as harsh as black can be on the eye. It’s available in 6 colors but there’s a really hot iridescent gold color available too, I have to check that one out next! — 3 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

L'Oréal Paris HiP Studio Secrets Professional Kohl Eyeliner
Agreed with the original review! I bought it on sale at CVS last year and after trying it once it's been sitting in my makeup drawer. The color is beautiful but the applicator is so sharp and the powder, so powdery. It doesn't stay on very well and the color doesn't pop at all. Really a very strange product. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Review subject
Put it on and it flaked and left little black dots all of my face. When I tried to wipe it off it smeared and I just ended up washing my whole face. Second application I had to use a tissue under my eye to catch the powder. Then the applicator started to bend and break a little. Its safe to say I threw it away and never looked back. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

the Bad reviews are probably from mis-use
It's an Eastern style eyeliner meant for the waterline, look up how to apply Kajal to get the right affect and the full value of the product... it is NOT meant for anything other then upper and lower waterline, and really only works well when applied with the proper technique. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Nice alternative to my regular eyeliners
I have almost all the colors and I find they work well for me. I usually just line the top of my eye (lash line) and they pop really well. I find it stays on all day and the gold & purple looks great with my brown eyes. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
