No Hydration........
My family has gone through every formula offered by Herbal Essences. We run into the same problem every time...build up. The first 2 or 3 times the shampoos and conditioners worked great and then they starting building up and giving all 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) oily roots, flakes, and frizzy ends. Hy- DRY- licious
I love Herbal Esssences, and I am a loyal customer. However, this shampoo just didn't deliver. It promises to "balance your hair", and as the name implies, hydrate your hair. But when I used it and rinsed it out, my hair was the texture of dry straw. No joke. The texture or dry straw with a touch of latex rubber glove. That is definitely not what I want in a shampoo, especially one from Herbal Ess...read moreences and with the name "Hydralicious". The scent was lovely (as are all the products in the Herbal Essences family), and the appearance of the product and packaging was modern and edgy, but the actual substance did not do anything for me. Pretty good.

Indifference.

Anything but hydrating.
This is one of the products that's stacked away in my cabinets with the majority still in the bottle. It is HORRIBLE. It never balanced out my hair, instead, it made my hair dry and poofy at the ends, and flat at the top. When applied it immediately made my hair feel tangly and brittle. The conditioner doesn't even fix it. It gives a waxy feeling. I would never purchase this again. The main ingre...read moredients: sodium lauryl sulfate, and ammonium laureth sulfate. Now, all sulfates are bad for hair, but THESE two, are one of those most harsh, drying of all. I would NOT recommend this to anyone, no matter what your hair type is. good product
the quality of the shampoo always depends on the peron's hair. personally, this worked great for me. i have yet to try the others of this collection, but it works great on asian hair types. i used to have hair that was dry and brittle but mildly greasy at the same time... it made me insane!!!!!!! this really helpedThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Will not buy again
This worked horrible for me. The two times that I did use it, I was left with an unmanageable mess. My hair is wavy and does require straightening, but it's usually manageable. I have medium length, thick hair and I've tried many, many shampoos including this one and it was by far the worst ever. I bought both the shampoo and conditioner and they did the opposite of hydrating my hair. While using them my hair became really dull and dry. I gave it to my mom to see if it worked for her because she has short, fine hair and it did the same for her. Fianlly Some Repair!
I have been using some really crappy shampoo lately but this is already repairing it after just two uses. I love the smell too because just like the silky results it is longlasting and absolutely sweet!
