No Hydration........
powerwoman033 (509 reviews)My family has gone through every formula offered by Herbal Essences. We run into the same problem every time...build up. The first 2 or 3 times the shampoos and conditioners worked great and then they starting building up and giving all 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) oily roots, flakes, and frizzy ends. I know a lot of people love Herbal Essences but we don't anymore based on experience. — 2 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Pretty good.
ladyslipper (169 reviews)Haven't used this for a long time, but it does a good job cleaning without stripping my hair or leaving it frizzy. Not my favorite scent - it's berry-like - but not terrible. — 2 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

24 All-Time Best Shampoos -
Anything but hydrating.
justcarolina (5 reviews)This is one of the products that's stacked away in my cabinets with the majority still in the bottle. It is HORRIBLE. It never balanced out my hair, instead, it made my hair dry and poofy at the ends, and flat at the top. When applied it immediately made my hair feel tangly and brittle. The conditioner doesn't even fix it. It gives a waxy feeling. I would never purchase this again. The main ingredients: sodium lauryl sulfate, and ammonium laureth sulfate. Now, all sulfates are bad for hair, but THESE two, are one of those most harsh, drying of all. I would NOT recommend this to anyone, no matter what your hair type is. Great smell, great packaging, cheap, crappy product. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
