brown/basic and black smoke

I wish I could love this!
I received this product as a gift from a dear friend and was SO EXCITED. She had given me the purple version and I thought the shadow combined with liner in one easy pencil was absolutely brilliant. I've used this several times and I really, really wanted to love it. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to get the shadow onto my lids. I have to press hard and it tugs and goes on unevenly and ends up actually kind of hurting the delicate skin on my lids. Once I get it on the color is beautiful and I love how perfectly the shadow and liner coordinate. Unfortunately, the shadow also creases badly, even when I use a primer underneath (the same primer I use for all my other shadows and never have a problem with creasing). I still use the liner end, but I'm afraid the shadow just can't work for me. WASTE
