Soap & Glory Super-Colour Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss Reviews

A Huge Kiss for Soap & Glory!
If I had to change one feature, it would be my lips. They have a great shape, but I wish they were fuller, ala Angelina Jolie's. Evidently other women feel the same way, as lip plumpers appeared on the market and continue to flourish. When they first arrived on the scene, I wasn't sure what made them enhance one's pout. And then I did some research: Plumpers actually irritate the thin skin of the lips with ingredients such as Menthol, Camphor, Cinnamon, and/or Cayenne Pepper, which rushes blood to the area to produce a temporary swelling. Others rely on Niacin and Retinol to increase the size of the blood vessels, resulting in the same effect. When lips are fuller, annoying lines and creases are smoothed and are less noticeable. Once lips have ballooned, they are enhanced by emollients to keep lips supple and lines blurred. Soap & Glory's "Super Color Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss" claims to contain Superfill® Technology and LIPSWELL™ plant oil infusion. This gloss is chock-full of hydrating ingredients, to keep lips lush and bountiful once they are slightly enlarged: Mineral, Castor Seed, and Apricot Kernel Oils, along with Silica. The "stinging" sensation which comes along with this gloss is not as harsh as it is with some other brands, and there is a delectable scent and taste as well. The colors are beautiful and produce a patent-leather shine: Among others, there is "Baby Doll" (sheer pink and a chocolate/raspberry flavor), "Dusty Rose" (with a taste like buttered popcorn!), "Yummy Plum" (dark coral-plum and a chocolate/raspberry tang), and "Candy Gloss" (champagne shimmer with a vanilla flavor). Since the plumping effect is only temporary, you do have to reapply for the effect, but you'll need to do so less often than with other brands as well. I've tried many, and this remains my favorite. On a diet? Apply some lip gloss and live vicariously. You'll save yourself from too many calories and keep beautiful at the same time! — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Best lip gloss purchase I have made
I'm a bit bummed that target quit carrying Soap and Glory. I loved it when the products went on sale!!! I bought the 3 pack of lip glosses over two years ago and am about half way through two of the tubes- the third I haven't even cracked yet. The gloss lasts and lasts and it really does plump my lips. However, I find that it really only works if it can make contact with your lips, in otherwords don't expect to experience the full effect if you put it over lipstick or Chapstick. It also takes a few minutes before I start to feel the tingle that lets me know that it's working. I usually put it on before I leave the house and then apply lipstick in the car about 5 minutes later. It works well over matte lipstains as well, I would just advise allowing a few minutes for the stain to dry down and set before gloss application. I will say that this gloss is pale, very lightly pigmented- I perfer it that way though, as it augments my lips and I can choose any color of lipstain or stick to work with it. Oh, and I'll also add that although I've had this gloss for 2 years, I haven't experienced any diminishing returns- works as great as the first day! — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 8 people said helpful

Good for Sensitive Lips
My lips peeled with other lip plumping products. Soap & Glory has a more gentle formula, although it's just as effective. My lips were slightly fuller, but they didn't peel as they did with the other items. The colors are beautiful and the gloss is non-sticky and smooth. Love it! — 2 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Didn't really notice bigger lips
I bought this hoping for fuller lips and nice color, but unfortunately I just got the nice color and some burning lips. I experienced more than a small tingle, but I went through the tube anyway because it looked good, lasted, and didn't rub off easily. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 7 people said helpful

Looks and tasts yummy...
Not a hug fan of lip gloss to begin with, I tend to not buy any unless I have a specific event that calls for it. This however was an impulse buy because I could not--despite my best efforts--resist the name! Whenever there's a lull in the conversation, I whip this baby out of my purse. Besides the realistic, delicious bakery tastes and smells (who doesn't like chocolate raspberry tart?), I do find that the gloss does a great job at plumping without the uncomfortable burn. There is tingling, but I found nothing more than a really minty balm. Like others said, the plumping has no effect if there is other products between your skin and the gloss. That being said, I would not recommend lip exfoliating before putting this on. Also, an unsung aspect that I absolutely love is the texture--its quite unique in that it doesn't stick to every thing, but rather has this slippery feeling, like silicone. Would I buy it again? Yes, even though it is a little spendy — 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love!
I absolutely love this lip gloss! It really works to pump up your lips, and has such a fabulous, cheeky name. The tingle also isn't as stinging as some lip plumping products i've used before, and this product also smells amazing! — 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Love this.
My lips look fuller. It may be the gloss. This is the glossiest gloss ever. Even glossier than MAC lipglass. This pulls together your look and makes your lips look amazingly kissable (though that is not the case, it is very sticky lol). Don't drive with the top down with your hair down, it will stick right to it, but it's a gloss, what do you expect? — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 7 people said helpful

Good Stuff
I love this stuff, It gives a nice tingle and the Candy color works really well for my olive complexion. The plumping action is minimal, but it does drown out the vertical lip lines that I hate! Its not sticky or super thick like alot of glosses I have tried. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful
