Might as well have gone to the hardware store!

I got this product thinking this would be great for my bikini area (I'm a swim instructor and life gaurd so I have to be super diligent about hair removal). I tried it and followed the instructions to the letter and came out looking like I had an abrasion/rash all over the test area (upper thigh) that I chose. I took the pad to my regular waxer and she laughed (insult to injury LOL) and told me th...read moreat this had been on the market several years earlier only to be taken off the market because the pads were too abrasive. I was informed by the facialist that she went to the hardware store when they came out again and showed to the wood working specialist and was shown the EXACT grade of silicone sandpaper that the Smooth Away was. EEEK So bottom line, you're better off with either a razor or a $0.22 piece of sandpaper.

    Smooth Away

This product worked really well at removing the hair on my arms. I'm surprised it got such negative reviews.

Want to rub your skin raw? Then this is the product for you!!!

I saw this on tv and rlly wanted it because i was always insecure about the dark hair on my arms, so i went and bought it at Walgreens. It took me forever to get the hair off! I spent nearly an hour, rubbing my skin raw and one of the worst parts was it would twist the hairs together and when they ripped out it hurt so bad! Sure my skin was smooth afterwards but it wasnt worth the effort/pain.

I love it for my legs!

The hair on my legs is not coarse, so I don't have to shave very often. I was told that this product not only removed the hair, but also exfoliated and made your legs feel so smooth. After using it, I totally agree. If you have really coarse hair, it might be a different story. I did try it on my underarms and got a rash under one arm. I think you have to be careful how hard you press and how...read more long you use it on sensitive areas. I'll probably try it again on my underarms, but I'll make sure my pits are totally dry first and won't rub as hard. All-in-all I loved it on my legs for sure!!

Could Have Just Gone to Home Depot

It is like a very fine sandpaper so just use an emory board and save yourself some money. To get hair off the legs is going to require the kind of sandpaper sold at Home Depot. This product does bupkas for the legs. It was ok on the uppr lip inbetween waxing applications. And it will leave the area feeling very sensitive. You know, if a product seems to be too good to be true then it is probably just going to end up in the trash and this is one for the trash pile.

    Not bad!

I had to try this product because of how amazing it looked on TV. I have to say that it did not work on my leg hair, but it did work on my upper lip. It did leave me a little red and dry looking, but I put a little cold cream on it and it was gone within an hour. It is much less painful then getting my upper lip waxed, and it lasted just as long, if not longer. I do not have very dark facial h...read moreair, and I do it 2-3 times a month. For upper lip I love it. For the rest of my body I don't like it at all. But I def would reccomend it for upper lip!

    HORRIBLE!!! The Pain!!!!

These were painless until about 20 minutes after I was done, then the pain begun! It felt like a horrible burn and the worst part was i did my face and my thighs and bikini line so I was on fire for hours. My face broke out in little red bumps from the burn, and it was horrible I couldn't even wear makeup cause it would burn like fire when I touched it. i don't even have sensitive skin yuck! I do not recommend these at all!!

    UGH!!!!!!

THis kinda worked. I took a whole hour to do both my legs, and it left a wierd white stuff all over my legs. Also it smelt like burning plastic . AND the next day, my hair was back. I think it stimulates hair growth rather than discouraging it.

Wish I could give it a 0 rating

This hair removal product is THE MOST PAINFUL THING I'VE EVER USED. I would take waxing 1000 times over, and that says a lot. Initially, I figured, "Hey this isn't half bad", when it began to make my skin smooth and somewhat hair free. I did notice however that I needed to buff a lot more than the directions suggested. By the time I was finished with both my legs, I wanted to die. I was ...read morecovered in red bumps and terribly irritated. Even water in the shower made me want to jump out of my skin. The best part is this was in the middle of summer. I was stuck wearing pants in 100 degree weather. Thank you Smooth Away!
