A HUGE KISS for Nivea!
In general, I love Maybelline's products. I was quite surprised at how quickly "Baby Lips" dried on my pout, forcing me to reapply again and again. Not so with Nivea's "A Kiss of Moisture Essential Lip Care" (about $3.00). It is packed with softening ingredients: Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Castor Seed Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Beeswax, Glycerin, Panthenol, and Vitamin E. My husband and I first gave it the "overnight" test. We applied this emollient, rich fragrance- and scent-free formula over peeling lips and were impressed by the immediate comfort. This is a white balm, but it applies clear (no aggravating white spots remain on the corners of your mouth). We slept with it on. It the morning, a layer of clear protection still remained, and it exfoliated dead, dry skin. Because it is not intensely glossy, it is appropriate for uni-sex use; my husband was thrilled! I wouldn't recommend this as a base for lipstick, as the color tends to wander away from lips. It works as well as Vaseline, but Vaseline tends to be more messy and doesn't last as long. We have continued to use this. Our lips our soft, moist, appear more line-free and also more plump. This is now a staple in our must-have basic skin/body care supplies. — 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

NIVEA A KISS OF MOISTURE ESSENTIAL LIP CARE
This is hands down, the BEST lip balm I have ever tried. I personally like a thicker, more conditioning balm and this is it! This balm is the "Essential" balm in the dark blue tube. I'm making the distinction from the one in the light blue tube cause the alternative is significantly worse than the Essential version. I can't seem to find this dark blue tube of wonder in store anymore, so I order in bulk online. It's a great night treatment for me, even topping my Jack Black Intense Lip Therapy. I love the texture of this balm. I can actually FEEL it on my lips, something that I truly enjoy as opposed to having more "slip" and lightweight balm. If you're looking for somthing more lightweight, buy the light blue tube. This balm doesn't have any issues with breaking me out around my lips and actually sinks into the lips, moisturizing deep within as well. Nivea "A Kiss of Moisture-Essential Lip Care" (non-SPF version!) came highly recommended to me by my regular physician. She said it was one of the best mild lip balms on the market (next to plain Vaseline) and I couldn't agree more. It's housed in a medium blue tube with a white cap. The balm is white, but glides on clear. It has a smooth and soft texture, not waxy, and has absolutely no flavor/taste. It's virtually fragrance-free -- I do discern a *very* subtle scent (Mustela-like?), but it's not enough to really notice, plus it's nice. The finish is glossy and it leaves my lips moisturized for hours. A perfect lipbalm for both day and night. My lips have been so dry and cracked around the edges recently due to weather changes. I tried the Blistex Restore/Revive product, which was the biggest waste ever. Luckily it was less than $2 so I didn't feel too bad about wasting money on it. I typically only use lip gloss everyday, but those do not protect or treat lips in any way whatsoever. I even tried using Vaseline in hopes that it would help because I've always had good exeriences with Vaseline in the past, in this case it did not help at all. I finally went to the store yesterday to find something else that would heal my lips. I found this product on sale for about $3 so I purchased it. I like Nivea product and this one gets relatively positive reviews so I got it. I love the packaging - it's light blue and really cute. The stick itself is solid white and applies on creamy. I noticed a difference in my lips within hours of using it. I applied it on last night and this morning my lips already look and feel so much better. This product works fast and feels so nice on my lips. I am glad I decided to try it because it works. It's saved my lips and I will continue using it. I will probably repurchase it in other colors/flavors just to try. — 1 year, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 10 people said helpful

not enough
I liked this balm, but only when my lips were not extremely dry or chapped. I felt like it didn't deeply moisturize my lips like other balms such as blistex or carmex, which are cheaper. Therefore, I feel that this balm is overpriced and not of sufficient quality. It also did not last long and I felt like I had to reapply it often. Lastly, what I hated more than anything was that I could swipe this lip balm on my lips 50 times and it would still feel like as if I only swiped it once. That's just weird. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 12 people said helpful
