Sheer, light and silky smooth
At first try, I have to admit I was not certain it was going to work for me. This product claims 7 total effects including reduce appearance of fine lines, evens out skin tone, reduces appearance of age spots, gentle exfoliation, moisturizes and add luminosity. It is a buildable coverage as the directions recommend it is applied every two hours. I was not impressed with the amount of coverage at first application. By the time I had applied two or three layers, the coverage was really quite good. The coverage was light and did not feel like heavy layers as a regular foundation would do after that many applications. My age spots have not diminished as this product claims to, but when applied to the skin like any foundation, the CC cream covered. It is very moisturizing and did not feel heavy or greasy when applied. I am slightly confused about the gentle exfoliation. The consistency is so smooth that I did not notice any exfoliation. This CC cream absolutely delivered on its promise to recapture youthful luminosity. The gentle light weight feel, is light on the skin and gives an underlying glow to the skin tone when used even at first application. I give this product an 8 out of 10 mostly because it needs to be applied several times per day to get the complete coverage it promises. Near perfect
If this gave just a little coverage for even minor flaws, I'd have given it a 10! I've been using this for about 6 months, and I love it. It goes on smoothly and quickly with my fingertips. Although it does not cover, it does even out my tone and give me a bit of color so I don't look washed out. For days when I need more coverage, I apply concealer over it. But it's even better with a "plain" moisturizer (no SPF) underneath! Definity Dissapointged
I LOVE Olay products but this one was a little bit of a let-down. It was a little heavier than I expected given it is advertised as partly moisturizer-sort of like a tinted moisturizer more than a foundation-that world does not appear on the title or sub-title of the item. It was a little thicker than I would have liked and not as illuminitating as most of the Definity products, which I adore. Too much and the color change really shows
I really liked this cream but I had to use very very little amount and sometimes I mixed with the usual moisturizer I use just because the tint is so strong. Olay Total Effects Tone Correcting Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15
When I received this moisturizing foundation I was intrigued right off the bat. The moisturizer & foundation look like a twirled creemee inside the container. While this product is part of Olay's 7 Effects line, I did not see nearly that many effects on my own skin. In the Pro column: this moisturizer should last you a long time, as a little goes a long way (a really, really long way), there was...read moren't any overpowering perfume/scent to the product, it glides on smoothly without feeling very oily. In the Con column: the directions recommend reapplying the product every two hours (and really, who has time for that?), it took multiple layers before I noticed any real change in my skin tone - meaning that it did not make my skin tone consistent across my face until I had applied at least three layers of the product, the more layers I applied the more my crows feet stood out (so the product didn't glide over the lines, it sank into them and ended up emphasizing them more), after several days of wearing the product my face began to breakout (probably because it couldn't breath underneath all those thin layers), the longer I kept it on the more oil my skin produced, and when I got hot I had to reapply even more frequently as the consistency of the color would begin to fade. Ultimately I think this product may be better for folks with normal to dry skin vs oily or combination skin. And I can't speak to how well the sunscreen worked as I don't know if it was the multiple layers of color-correction or the sunscreen that protected my face, though I didn't tan or burn when in the sun while wearing this product. This is nice, but I need something oil free!
I was sent this to try as as a sample. I did like the product overall and I think it's great for someone that doesn't have to worry about using oil free products on their break-out prone skin (mine wasn't such a fan). I enjoyed the moisture this product provided to my skin, it wasn't too much and it didn't feel like it was sitting on top of my skin. My skin looked nice and happy while this was on, but it was not worth the bumps and black heads that came from using it. Love this new CC cream
This is a very light feeling cream. It does not have an oily consistency at all. I did not feel like it was heavy or constricting while wearing it. I loved it!!! Not up to Olay standards
I bought the entire Definity line when it first came out, hoping for something amazing. Boy was I disappointed! The only product (out of the whole line!) that I REALLY loved was the night cream. This moisturizer does work, but it makes my skin shiny, and I do not have oily skin - so I cannot imagine what it will do to someone with oily skin. The hint of color in it does well to cover small things ...read morelike red spots or brown spots, but only increase the visibility of lines or wrinkles. If you're staying home and just want a good around the house moisturizer, this works great - however, do not use in conjunction with foundation or blush!
