Glad to know I'm Not alone!
I was so excited when I saw that this product was coming out, couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Now I am So sorry I did! I usually Love John Frieda products, but this one NOT! It made my hair look and feel as if it had been put through every possible chemically damaging process available! Shine??? NO WAY, my hair looked so damaged it would not have had any shine if I had sprayed it with liquid diamonds! Even wrecked my hands for a whole day! Would not come off, worst John Frieda Product I've EVER used! — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

It has it's pros and cons.
I had been looking at this everytime I was at the store, but never picked it up until I saw it on sale, so I bought a bottle. The smell is not the greatest, but it did give my hair more shine. I heat style my hair regularly and found that my hair seemed a bit heavier and seemed to produce more oil than usual. I liked the shine, but not enough for it to weigh my hair down every time I use it. — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

It took my nail polish off!!
I was excited at first to put this on my hair because I love John Frieda products. It was really soft going on to my hair and slightly shimmery. It instantly made my hair shiny, although it didn't smell too great (the fumes made my eyes water, in fact). Also, I used up mostly the entire bottle because my hair is long and thick. I was washing off the product from my hands and noticed that it took my manicure with it. It completely stripped my nails of color. This made me worry about the product taking off my hair color during the 20 minutes it recommends to leave it on. After 20 minutes was up, I was nervous and excited to get this off of my hair. When I blew my bangs dry afterwards, I was pleasantly surprised by the results. My hair was smooth, soft and very shiny, just like this product claims to make your hair. It gets the job done, but my hair and hands smell like chemicals and the one-use nature of the bottle, at least for me, isn't worth a second time. — 4 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

great shine
I'm surprised to see the other review for this product is so poor. I really like it! I have long, dark hair that I occassionally have dyed at a salon. I bought this product because i felt like my dye job was fading a little and really just wanted more shine without visiting my EXPENSIVE salon. I've been using the product for several months and really like it. I shampoo and condition my hair, then apply this and leave it on for a few minutes and rinse. I blow out my hair several times a week, and the only thing I've noticed as far as residue is that occassionally, my hair is a little oily. But the shine that I get is worth it. I really think this product has extended the life of my color/shine and I'll keep using it! — 4 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Awful.
This is a terrible product- it would not wash out, left glittery residue all over my hands and as I was attempting to blow dry after use, my hair had so much static that I couldn't stand it. My coworker used it as well, and it made her hair stringy and flat. I'm throwing out the bottle. I usually love John Frieda, but not this time! — 4 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful
