The FHI, in my opinion, is the number one flat iron available in this price range. I love how it doesn't snag hair, has adjustable heat, and most importantly to me, doesn't dry out hair. I wasn't particularly careful with my first one and still got 5 years of use out of it. I don't really know that I could ask for more from a flat iron-- the straightening is great, and it also creates beautiful curls.

My New BFF

When my CHI stopped working I was heart broken! My aunt who does hair recommended this one over the CHI-she was right! This flat iron is much better than the CHI. Very smooth, even heat, doesn't get too hot and is great for curling your hair as well!

Perfect Curl Every Time!

When I use my FHI Heat flatiron, the heating element allows me to have a perfect curl every time, giving my hair the smooth and shiny look that looks incredible in seconds! Since it is multi-purpose, I use it for when I want my hair straight as well!

Salon quality tool---but needs proper care.

I bought my FHI Heat Flat Iron for around $200. For me, I thought it was a LOT of money, but reviews I had read on it had convinced me it was well worth the money, and so far, I haven't been disappointed---after owning mine for nearly 3 years. The only problem is that mine self-adjusts it's heat, and doesn't have any dial where you can regulate the temperature. It gets VERY hot, as this is a sal...read moreon quality tool. I made the mistake of leaving it on for long periods of time, and not turning it off for hours every day, and this has lead to a slight discoloration on the plastic alongside of the ceramic panels due to the constant heat for prolonged amounts of time. Advice: unplug this immediately when you are done using it. It gets hot within a matter of seconds, so it's not like you're saving any time by leaving it plugged in. I wish I would have thought of this in advance.
