Crabtree & Evelyn Aromatherapy Distillations Relaxing - Soothing Body Lotion Reviews

A triple threat to dry skin!
BeautyJunkieAmber (231 reviews)I have to tell you something. My home is loaded with body lotions, body butters, and dry oils right now. I have a ton of them to choose from and that never stops me from trying more. It's an illness-- I tell you! We can never have enough good stuff. Which brings me to tell you about the new Distillations Soothing Body Lotion from Crabtree & Evelyn. This lavender and rosewood essential oil laden wonder hydrated my dry arms and left behind a delicious scent. I thought I smelled limes, and I love limes! But really, it's an essential oil blend of lavender and rosewood, tonka, chamomile, vanilla and violet leaf. Perhaps it's just the combination of all of those scents together that created a lime-like scent. Then again, the Hubby told me he didn't smell limes at all. Okay, I'll stop! Other reasons I love this stuff: there's no parabens, mineral oil, synthetic fragrance, colorants, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl or laureth, sulfates. I also love argan oil-- one of the key ingredients, and when it's with olive oil and shea butter like in the Distillations, that's a triple threat to dry skin. I think this would make a great gift for anyone as the packaging is more grown up than your standard Bath & Body Works fare. I did find this to be relaxing and I thought it might even make a nice massage lotion. Give it a try, let me know what you think! — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Terrific thick, creamy moisturizer
jewelboxdreams (33 reviews)This is a very thick, dense moisturizer. It is very creamy and feels wonderful. It also absorbs quickly, so you don't have to worry about being slipper, but is still rich and moisturizing. I wasn't too crazy about the lavender scent (too strong), but lotion was hydrating enough that I have continued using it anyway. It's on the expensive side, but it works well. — 3 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Fresh Scent and Works Too
fabulousover40 (88 reviews)This lotion packs a powerful punch. I have super dry skin - especially in this winter weather and this is very soothing without being greasy or sticky. I consider it a luxury lotion. It also has a fresh lemon and coriander scent that is not overpowering. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Light, lavender scent; average hydration
makeupmasala (24 reviews)I was very pleased with the lavender/rosewood scent. Sometimes lavender can be too overpowering to the nose. The hydration factor was a slight disappointment though. It moisturizes, but no better than many of my drugstore brands which are much cheaper. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

This stuff= heaven
MissWhoeverYouAre (17 reviews)Oh. My. God. Pure Love. Seriously. This baby is awesome! It moisturizes and soothes my skin to perfection. This is a wonderful lotion for the chilly winter season. I've been using this lotion for the past week in the morning before school and- POOF! Instant ash-be-gone! It's not greasy or sticky. At the same time, however, it isn't like your typical winter lotion where its extremely heavy. I was royally shocked at how thick yet light this lotion is on your skin. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Love the Scent of Eucalyptus & Lime !
indiangirl (8 reviews)I have heard of Crabtree and Evelyn before but had never actually checked out their site or their products. My God, the scents and flavors they have ! You have to check it out - Pineapple & Ginger, Mango & Cranberry, Avacodo & Basil - its going to be hard to keep me from putting a dollop of the cream into my mouth ! The Crabtree & Evelyn Aromatherapy Distillations Body Lotions come in three different scents that are meant to create different sensations like purifying & refreshing / relaxing - soothing / revitalizing - conditioning. The one I tried was the Purifying - refreshing body lotion. The scent of the lotion is from essential oils of lime & eucalyptus. The product is also infused with cooling peppermint oil, skin - clarifying cucumber and lemon grass extracts that help tone and refresh the skin. I had a very pleasant experience with it. I love the faint eucalyptus smell ! Especially during winters smelling eucalyptus oil helps clear blockages and stuffed noses. So, I found it very refreshing indeed ! Unless you hate the smell of eucalyptus or lime , it is hard to not like this lotion. It is light, completely non - sticky, sinks in easily and is free from paraben, synthetic fragrances, mineral oil, sulphates and other bad stuff. I really liked the packaging. It comes in a cute, stubby plastic bottle with a pump. The only thing not so nice is the price. The original cost is $19.50 but they are now on 20 % off so are available for $15.60. I will definitely be sad when this bottle gets over but am not sure if I'll go back and buy it. If I do , then I wanna try the rosemary - lavender one , next time ! Sooths my dry skin!
makeupbyrenren (19 reviews)I had heard of this brand before but never tried it. I always associated the brand with a spa. This lotion boasts revitalizing lotion and coriander essential oils. I've been using it for about two weeks now and it works really good! Unlike other lotions, it just sinks right in, leaving no white residue. This means it actually works. The smell wasn't really my cup of tea. I'm not big into the herbal scent, but some might like this. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Just in Time for Winter
moodymaria (41 reviews)I am in love with this Aromatherapy Soothing Body Lotion. My skin is so dry from living in Arizona. I need all the help I can get on my hands, legs and feet. This lotion did the trick. Not only is it smooth, but it did not leave a greasy residue. The relaxing lavender and rosewood essential oils were perfect after an evening shower. The scent is subtle and noy overpowering. I am thinking of getting this for a holiday gift, possibly for my son's teacher. I think the packaging is so pretty that it would look nice on someone's desk. Also, with the pump dispenser, it is not messy. Thank you Crabtree and Evelyn for another great product! — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
