Great for Light Makeup but Oily Skin Will Need Powder

I was interested in trying this because I'm a fan of organic skin care (it truly does make a difference with my skin) and I thought this seemed like good sun protection as well as suitable for light makeup days. I suggest a light bit of concealing after application if you want more coverage. ...read more This feels pretty good on the skin. It's like bare skin. It wore well without any oxidation or turning the dreaded orange hue that oily skin can encounter with makeup after the skin oils come through. Do be aware that if you are oily skinned, like myself, you will have to add some powder to set the tinted moisturizer. Otherwise, your skin will get shiny and the the tint will wear off. I've learned with my skin to always add a layer of powder or at least a dusting of it no matter what I wear on my face. The sun protection is an added bonus but I still wouldn't call this an all-in-one product just because it's not oil control. If you have combination skin, I'd suggest powdering the T-zone. Dry skin will luck out here and not have to worry about shine. Sometimes I envy dry skin. Here's another note: If you are very fair you may find even the lightest shade is a little dark for you. If you are medium to light olive, like me, you should do well with this. Bottom line: This is a quality product for a decent price. It applies and blends easily, has a higher number sun protection and stays color true. Again, you'll need some powder and probably touch ups of powder if you're oily skinned but that aside, I'm satisfied with this purchase.

yay

ive been wanting to try this for forever! i finally got it the other day at target and its awesome if youre not doing to much that day and you want some coverage but its not makeupy. it does have a strong scent if youre sensitive but im not sensitive at all. i feel like it dries almost matte. like a second skin.

Better for dry skin

My cousin and I both tried this product. She has dry skin while my skin is oily. She loved this product. She said it made her skin feel smooth and it was easy to apply. It provided the right amount of moisture for her. I, on the other hand, did not like this product. It feel greasy on my skin and made my face look shiny. This product is definitely better for those with dry skin. Stay away if you have oily skin.

Pretty good

I was really excited to find a vegan tinted moisturizer with SPF at such a low price. I wear this stuff on casual days when I only want a little makeup, and it works ok. I really like the level of coverage: not too thick and makeup-y, but still evens out my complexion and hides small blemishes. It moisturizes decently and has a good consistency. However, it leaves me looking kind of shiny--it'...read mores not actually greasy, but for some reason it's shiny. I'm not really a fan of the scent, either. It has a weird alcohol/herbal scent, almost like Pine Sol. It goes away after you apply it, but it's kind of harsh out of the bottle. Still, it's such a good price that I would probably buy it again.

actually, almost perfect :)

wow, this moisturizer has gotten a really bad rap on here so far, but I can understand why it might not be ideal for everyone. but for me, the pluses wayyy outweigh the minuses. First of all, this moisturizer rates extremely safe in terms of ingredients, so the "organic" label they slap on it is actually pretty legit. Other reviewers have complained about the way it smells, but the smell...read more is pretty much what I would expect from a natural, safe product with no artifical fragrance and lots of natural ingredients. Also, it is perfect for my combination skin. It doesn't moisturize a ton and the consistency is in fact sort of watery, but it provides more color coverage than other tinted moisturizers I've tried, which is a huge plus because in the past I haven't been pleased with the amount of coverage in certain products. The only reason I give it 9 is because there are days, few and far between, when this does not give my skin enough moisture, but then I just mix it with something else. Overall I'm really pleased with this product, especially considering how safe it is :)

Hated it!

I was excited to try this product since it's organic and I've heard good things about it. I got the light shade and after giving it a chance or two, I ended up just throwing the tube away. It's very unpleasant for me. It has an astringent-like quality, like someone poured some witch hazel in the formula, and it is not gentle to the skin. It slightly stings and smells medicinal. It's also too r...read moreunny and made my face look like an oil slick. I like to look glowy, so I use moisturizing products with wild abandon, but this just looked gross. I immediately began searching my beauty stash for a little loose powder to soak up the grease. It didn't seem to cover much either. I used it around my eyes and big mistake - they teared up all over the place and reddened. I usually use Garnier BB Cream as a tinted moisturizer, and this is usually fine around my eyes, even gentle. This is not worth the buy. If I could give it negative stars, I would!

nice enough

I have trouble with their color descriptions and as such have three, and once applied I can’t see a difference between them. This tinted moisturizer only has an SPF of 15, which makes it fine for the office and quick runs to and from my car, but I stick with my Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm (SPF45) when I’m going to be outside for more than 30 mins straight. It goes on smooth and even, as if you are only using a light moisturizer. Some people have called it greasy, but I’m pretty sensitive to such things and this one didn’t feel that way (unless I glob it on) The formula helps even out my skin-tone but it still allows me to have my natural flush shine through – so I don’t actually need to wear blush with this (but it doesn’t hurt). I like it – enough to have gotten 3 different shades, but now that I’ve learned more about the cosmetics industry I will probably stick with the higher end brands with the better protection like the Dr. Jart+.

Decent Tinted Moisturizer

This product soothes dry skin, without leaving a pancake finish. However, I would try something different during warmer weather. Simply from living in Florida and working in a kitchen, I would have to re-apply multiple times a day. It's a great, lightweight product for dry skin during the Fall and Winter months. However, I would invest in something with more staying power for the Spring and Summer.

Great for skin and for men as well!

I am a 26 year old man and I use this moisturizer on a daily basis for a little coverage as well as for the sunscreen. The lavender oil in it has completely cleared up my acne and it doesn't look like you're wearing makeup so it looks more natural. The only drawback is that I have oily skin and my forehead tends to shine towards the end of my workday.

:/ not my favorite

This moisturizer is very light coverage just like any other tinted moisturizer. I have very dry skin and after trying it out for a couple of days, it make my skin flaky and dry especially across my forehead. I do not like this moisturizer and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with dry skin.
