Unusual product

Let me start by saying I love all things Lush! I try not to go in too often or I would spend too much money there, but I especially love their bath products. Which is how I came upon a generous sample of this product. The nice lady ...read moreat the register asked if I had tried Rub Rub Rub which is the same scent, and I told her no. I didn't even know they had any other products in that scent! So she made me a sample. What fascinates me about it is that they call it a shower gel, but you find it on the website under "shower scrubs" and many of the reviewers, myself included, think of it as a scrub. Which it sort of is, but it also sort of isn't. The gritty particles are salt and they seem to dissolve away pretty quickly once I start rubbing it on my body. This is not anything I've experienced with any salt scrub ever before and even though I seem to get less exfoliation from it, I don't mind because it's also less harsh on my skin and easier to rinse off. It's also a crazy bright blue color, which kind of bugs me, but not for any reason that should prevent anyone (including myself) from buying it. The product photo shown here (as I'm writing this) shows the product being sold in the bottle but right now the store is selling it in a tub. Which really makes the most sense, because it is thicker than a regular shower gel. In fact, it's even thicker than some scrubs I've used. The scent is amazing--exactly the same as the Sakura bath bomb, as the employee promised me. But I haven't decided yet whether I want to purchase the full size (currently $22 for not quite twelve ounces). They say a little goes a long way, so perhaps I'll give it a try and if I can't live without it after one tub, then it will be worth the cost!

Lovely shower scrub

This is one of my absolute favorite Lush products! I use this in the shower before shaving. It smells ah-maaazing, really clean with jasmine and orange blossom. I also like that this is a bright blue color so you can see everywhere you've spread it. I thought I would only use this once a week, but it is so lovely that I use it in practically every shower! Just take a scoop and spread this over the parts of your body that you want exfoliated. It lathers up just a bit and the salt scrub dissolves, rinsing away clean. I have about a third of my tub left and I am already planning my next visit to Lush because I can't be without this now.

Did I get a bad batch?

Lush's website features dozens of raves for this product's smell. There is also a handful of reviewers who likened Rub Rub Rub to "burning rubber," "chemicals," and "Drano." I disagree ... it actually smells like all of those things. The smell eclipsed what is otherwise a decent shower gel. Love this

This is a great product. I have it in the shower scrub form and it it is wonderful. It gently scrubs your skin and sloughs off dead skin cells but isn't too tough and doesn't strip your skin. It smells wonderful and is from an ethical company.

My Favorite Body Scrub

It smells absolutely divine, slightly citrus-y, a little floral, but not overwhelmingly so. It has sea salt in it, but it's not huge chunks that hurt when you use it. Quite the contrary - you don't even realize that you're using a scrub until you see the effects on your skin afterwards. so soft and so clean

I use this body wash almost every day. I love the scent and the fine grains of sea salt. It is not a harsh scrub so you can use it on sensitive skin. It leaves my skin feeling so clean and soft, I would recommend it to others.
