wonderful!!
Kikikins625 (457 reviews)I am one that usually doesn't care what hairspray I use and never had a problem with the ones I did use until I tried this! I was shocked at how smooth my hair felt while still being held in place. I will NEVER go back to not caring what hairspray I use!! — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 7 people said helpful

L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray
lesa5363 (347 reviews)I discovered this at a hair show in 1986, and my cousin in Italy has been sending it to me for years. I totally understand why so many hair stylists swear by this spray, I have for years. It has got to be one of the nicest sprays you can use. It holds your style, is never sticky and isn't like cast iron. it doesn't flake or melt in the humididty and it is a God send to anyone with fine hair. I doesn't weigh your hair down, if you use it, your style will most definitely hold. I washes out easily, and even in the '80's when i wore big hair, I never had build up. There is also a version with sun protection. I am so glad we have it here in the States now. It also smells really clean and fresh and never feels crisp. It is one of the nicest sprays to use. you don't have to use a lot of product either, so don't let the price scare you off, it is worth every cent! — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

good spray
iggymama (295 reviews)The elnett spray has great hold without being too sticky or flakey. It has a slight smell that I didn't care for but it's not super strong. It's a little pricey not sure if it's worth the cost. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

My new favorite hairspray, inside and out
teshie (396 reviews)I admit that I bought this hairspray (the one with the UV filter) because I dug the art deco, 70's-style tall gold bottle with the drawing of the 80's glamour model on the front. I'm glad I did, because although this is a bit pricey for a drugstore hairspray, it is in fact excellent. I use it after I flat-iron to hold my straight style all day, without the usual stiffness, flatness, or lack of shine that hairsprays usually impart. The good news for busy (and lazy) people is that this hairspray actually holds my style for two days. On day two, I wake up, brush my hair, and I'm good to go. The downsides? Elnett smells. Stinks, even. I also don't like that this hairspray is only available as an aerosol, which is damaging to the environment. — 3 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 10 people said helpful

The best
beautyguru_24_7 (273 reviews)This is a miracle spray, that holds your style, but allows you to move it and play with it, and it will stay however you leave it - all while leaving a satin finish on your hair. — 3 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 5 people said helpful

Amazingly bad smelling
radar626 (318 reviews)I was excited to finally try this hairspray after so much hype and positive publicity. I was prepared for unbelievable hold and ended up with flat hair with a horrible chemical smell. I was surprised at how bad and unpleasant this hairspray smelled. The incredibly light hold I could have worked around because it did give temporary hold while I was in the process of styling my hair. The smell, well, the nasty, overpowering, lingering chemical smell was a complete turnoff. Unlike many hairspray scents or even perfumes, this scent didn't fade away during the day. The only way to get rid of it was to wash my hair. — 1 year, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

just okay
LaurelJ (152 reviews)I'd read all the hype about this hairspray so decided I had to give it a try. Maybe it was just over-hyped so much that I expected too much, but honestly I didn't see anything about this hairspray to make it any better than most of the other products I've tried. First off, I did not care for the smell. I really didn't feel that it made my hair look smoother, and it did not give me all day hold. Don't get me wrong, it was okay, but for the price, which isn't super-expensive, but also isn't the least expensive, and for all the hype, I really expected more — 8 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

great for soft, bouncy curls!
jenstar313 (96 reviews)my naturally straight hair does not usually hold curls well, so i usually use a curling iron/ hairspray combo - which unfortunately usually leaves me with a stiff, unnatural looking do. i picked up a bottle of elnett after reading reviews about how well it held hairstyles while keeping your tresses soft and touchable. i'm sold! after using a curling iron and spraying curls in place, i gently brushed my locks out to get a softer look - no flakes or stiffness, but my hair remained curly even in the wind and fog, and even the next day! like another reviewer noted, the scent is a bit strong (an old-school hairspray scent!) and the aerosol spray is not very environmentally friendly - i'll save this spray for the few occasions i feel like rocking some curls... — 8 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
