I received these as a gift as I have always been very short on time in the morning, so my grandma believed these would be good for me because of their short heat up and such. Well, these do work indeed, but the curl does not last very long, so I must spray my hair quite a bit. I loved the curls that I had right after I took the rollers out though. However, some short layers of mine didn't get a curl so much as a bend. I still liked the effect and the volume imparted by this though. I did not feel the need to go in with a curling iron following this. All in all, these took around 30 minutes for me to use on my fine, layered hair. A somewhat major issue that would prevent me from buying these is that the ends of the rollers get quite hot and it is possible to burn your fingers on them as such. Well, ive always searched for a way to curl my hair quick and easy, without having to use a curling iron, so i bought this. The set was about $40 so naturally, I expected them to most likely work well. after leaving them for not just the suggested 5 minute, but about almost 30 minutes, i took them out to find i horrible curl. Thats not all, while I was putting them in I was burning myself a lot! I also let them heat up for about 40 minutes as well. Easy to use and heat up quickly

These don't hold a curl as well as some products (sponge rollers or curling iron) but they are easy to use and I've yet to burn myself on them. They come out easily (no tangles) and they heat up very quickly. Are they perfect? Hadn't bought a set of hot curlers in years and thought I'd give it a try for my sister's upcoming wedding. I bought this set and tried it on both my daughter's and my hair. The clips do not clip tightly and I was not happy with the curl. Loved the look and set-up of the curlers but I would not have bought them if I had known they didn't work so well. I bought the culers about a year ago and liked the set, but yesterday it sparked and no longer heats up. Fpr $50.00 I would have expected them to last longer.
