Remington Wet 2 Straight Reviews

Not for me
volta (516 reviews)I have very thick, frizzy, long and unmanageable hair. This worked fine for straightening it, but my hair would turn frizzy again within an hour. It would probably work better for someone with finer hair. I never used this when my hair was wet; I always blow dried it beforehand. Works fine on dry and slightly damp settings, but I hear that it's terrible on wet settings. The plates got dirty really fast and it would give my hair static occasionally. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Good
TheLacqueredLady (588 reviews)The same cautions apply to this as the slim version, but I found this more difficult to work with, even with long thick hair. I found my hair got caught in the plates and heat was not uniformly distributed across the plates. — 7 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

It does the job
RoleModel (100 reviews)I have had this straightener for many years and it does a good job. I don't like to use it when my hair is super wet because it feels and smells like its frying. It does dry my long thick hair fairly fast but I have to go over it with my other flat iron. If you're in a hurry it will do. Update: I actually got rid of this straightener after I kept reading how bad it was for your hair, especially when it was wet. — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Very Durable
runee89 (243 reviews)I recommend not using this on actually wet hair, it's better on damp, best on dry. It does okay on wet hair but you have to go over a section around 3 times to make sure it's fully dry & straightened. The biggest reason I say don't use it on wet or damp hair is that that is terrible for your hair. It leads to breakage, frizz, & icky split ends. Wet hair is really fragile even if you have healthy hair but especially if you have hair with any damage or chemical treatments & using hot tools on them is just too damaging. On dry hair, it does a great job straightening and keep frizz at bay. I bought when I was in the eighth grade. I'm now in college and still have that same iron & it still heats up just as well today as it did years ago. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

the out the door...
Llisa2 (194 reviews)I dont straighten my hair every day, but when I do, I like using this straightener. I am usually in a hurry whenever I am getting ready and sometimes this gadget is a real time savor. I am able to add my body producing products, then dry and straighten my hair all at once, what I am left with is straight shiny hair that has a lot of body. I also like only using one heat tool instead of two. My hairdresser has no idea that I straighten my hair because it remains very healthy. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Great Buy
naughtnone (27 reviews)Yes, it does work on wet hair, but it works best on damp hair. When I put serum (Frizz-Ease!) in my wet hair, let it air dry for 10 min, then use this on my damp hair, it takes about 20 min to transfer my curls into shiny, natural, perfectly straight locks. It stays and never frizzes. For the price and effectiveness, it's a great buy. — 1 year, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Great(:
Shelby4Life (2 reviews)I use this straightener about everyday. It works fast and easy, the only thing I don't like is the fact that it gets hot around the handle area. — 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Okay.
Kirby (101 reviews)This is an okay iron - but only when my hair is dry. It did nothing to help speed up the process of drying & ironing, which is is primary boasting point. — 9 months, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

LOVE THIS!
ecgriffies (1 reviews)I have had this iron for about 5 years now and it is the best iron for my hair. I have thick, wavy hair and it was always really hard to find a straightner that completly straightened my hair on the first round. I never used it when my hair was wet because I was afraid it would fry my hair or something. I have to get a new iron because mine has gotten rather old, but it is a GREAT product. — 12 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
