I did not experience any noticeable "thickening" of my hair after using this shampoo. It's on par with most drugstore brands' "volumizing" offerings. It cleans hair without weighing it down...and that's about it. It doesn't seem to moisturize at all, which I need because my hair's highlighted. I think the smell could use some improvement, too. This shampoo smells nice and cleans hair, but is extremely drying. I have fine, blonde hair, and this shampoo left it frizzy and dry at the ends.
