Medium Coverage with a Soft Glow
I had always shied away from powder foundations because they are usually very matte and are not particularly flattering on older skin. This convenient powder foundation, however, has made me a convert! It may be applied with a damp or dry sponge for a soft, luminous finish with medium coverage that lasts all day. It blends seamlessly into the skin without looking dry or chalky. Although it contains oil controlling ingredients, it did not dry out or irritate my skin. Shu Uemura says it contains "anti-dry-feel powders" and, indeed, my skin felt soft, moisturized, and comfortable. Although I'd never go out without applying a sunscreen, the high SPF in the foundation is reassuring. My only gripe is that you have to buy the $12 refillable compact and sponge separately.
