Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer Reviews

Velvety smooth primer
I have been disappointed by primers in the past so I was skeptical of this one as well, despite some rave reviews I saw. I got a small sample of this from Sephora with a purchase that allowed me two uses of the product. I was amazed when I sampled this primer! After finishing the sample, I picked up the full size. The product is oil free, but still suitable for my combo/dry skin. It helped my Chanel Vitalumiere foundation from getting too glowy or settling into lines and/or dry patches. This primer also works especially wonderfully with my Laura Mercier mineral powder foundation. This is just a quality product that delivers on exactly what it says it will. The product glides on beautifully and is vegan to boot! — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

No thanks - makeup settles into lines
I like that this product has SPF and it is silky upon application. However, later in the day, it completely fails. Makeup settles into my lines (even worse than normal). — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 7 people said helpful

Hours for results?
I've heard such great things from reviews of this product. So naturally I had high expectations. While application was easy, I felt as if the primer felt like baby powder on my skin. Maybe this would be favorable to some, but as for myself it was not the kind of smoothness I was expecting. Mineral Veil also promised to help diminish redness, which it failed to do. Overall I did not like this product. I will stick with my Dior Skinflash Primer instead. Less money and better results. — 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

Best primer I have ever used!
This primer is completely worth the money it makes you're skin feel like silk and will ensure a long wear for any foundation you use it is good for any skin type and has an SPF in it. Would defiantly recommend this primer! — 1 month, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

This stuff is great!
I previously was using a Urban Decay primer and really hated it. It made my oily face even oilier. So I went and got a sample of this one and what a difference! Makes your foundation go flawless and does not feel oily at all! Yes, it is expensive but it is worth it and you only need to use a little. — 10 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

Hour glass mineral veil primer
I love this primer. Because of it being pricey, I only use it on special occasions. But it was love at first application. I have very oily skin and it kept it at bay. Would buy again! — 1 year, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Hourglass!!!
This primer is unbelievable...I had never used one before, but now consider it a necessity to alternate between the veil primer as well as the solar tan primer so that my skin is always well-primed, but has that great, sun-kissed look that the solar tan provides. Love it. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 4 people said helpful

A+
Before trying this product I have never worn a primer before. I was initially turned onto this product because it was a mineral primer. I had gone into Barneys and the artist recommended that I mix it with the their foundation before applying onto my face. It was a great recommendation and shortcut! My husband and his sister gave me the thumbs up when I got home that day after having her apply the product on my face in the store. I go a little lighter with the foundation when mixing but would suggest everyone try it. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

My Must Have Item!
I love how this feels and looks on the skin! I'm surprised it's not rated higher! "Rolls Royce of Primers." That makes total sense! =) It's great because it alleviates the redness and the SPF is a bonus. Some days I'm not always up for wearing makeup so I wear this alone. It leaves a satin-like finish. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

It's okay, too pricey!
It's kind of the same as Smashbox's Light Primer, this just has skincare benefits, too pricey for me. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful
