Redken Elastic Works 09 gives wavy hair well-defined curls that manage to stay bouncy and soft, not crispy or crunchy. I applied it to damp hair and diffused while scrunching. Surprisingly, my waves came out as loose curls that were low on frizz, as opposed to kinky curls that were stiff or frizzy. Straight hair types can use this to coax waves out of hair, while any hair type can expect added texture and movement.

Love this
by Mollychi (14 reviews)I have baby fine wavy hair, that goes flat on top. This stuff boosts the waves into curls that last all day and throughout the 2 hour walk I take with my dogs at night. Good Product
by ruslynn (14 reviews)For my thick, wavy hair, this product works pretty good. I can use a little to define and defrizz my natural wave or use a lot to create big loose curls. Only downside is product buildup. great staying power for curls!
by notcentaurs (72 reviews)Top 500 Reviewerthe fibers in this really make the curls shape to any way you choose. i absolutely love the consistency of this! it's thick, but it doesn't dry stiff and hard. this is definitely NOT a gel for scrunching or for crunchy curls. it's thick enough that it adds body and fullness yet it doesn't make hair feel heavy or dull it dow...n! great product for curly or wavy hair girls!

Not for fine hair

I finger-combed this product through my extremely fine hair and was delighted that I could twist and shape my hair--it really is elastic! Sadly, my hair drie...d in its usual shapeless shape. Great for creating waves in my flat, fine hair.

It felt sticky and thick on my hands but it magically worked into my hair and made sexy, beachy waves without any stiff feel. I can run my fingers though my hair freely and it looks natural, although my hair is hardly wavy on its own. Most products ...like this, I find myself constantly scrunching my hair all over until its dry in order to get the beachy waves I like, but this just takes a simple, quick run through and I'm good to go for the rest of the day!
