Redken Elastic Works 09 gives wavy hair well-defined curls that manage to stay bouncy and soft, not crispy or crunchy. I applied it to damp hair and diffused while scrunching. Surprisingly, my waves came out as loose curls that were low on frizz, as opposed to kinky curls that were stiff or frizzy. Straight hair types can use this to coax waves out of hair, while any hair type can expect added texture and movement.

    For my thick, wavy hair, this product works pretty good. I can use a little to define and defrizz my natural wave or use a lot to create big loose curls. Only downside is product buildup. Definitely use a clarifying shampoo every week when using this product otherwise it will seriously weigh down and dull your hair January 17, 2009, 3:59 pm

    Love this

    I have baby fine wavy hair, that goes flat on top. This stuff boosts the waves into curls that last all day and throughout the 2 hour walk I take with my dogs at night. The smell is fantastic, I am a real produce junkie, but I have ditched all the other "experimental" stuff that I have tried for this. August 7, 2008, 6:03 am

    Even though this product didn't work for my hair, I didn't dock it any serious stars because I could see how it could work well for someone with a different hair type. I finger-combed this product through my extremely fine hair and was delighted that I could twist and shape my hair--it really is elastic! Sadly, my hair drie...d in its usual shapeless shape.     This is a great formula for relaxing your wavy hair. The solution softens your hair and lets waves become loose and controls frizz. It doesn't make hair feel oily or greasy and works great to give your waves a relaxed look. August 26, 2008, 1:13 am

    great staying power for curls!

    the fibers in this really make the curls shape to any way you choose. i absolutely love the consistency of this! it's thick, but it doesn't dry stiff and hard. this is definitely NOT a gel for scrunching or for crunchy curls. it's thick enough that it adds body and fullness yet it doesn't make hair feel heavy or dull it dow...n! great product for curly or wavy hair girls!     Great for Curls
