keeps my makeup on all day
This powder works very well, but you have to be careful about applying too much, otherwise you look very pale. All you need is a small amount on your brush and tap off the excess. Start with your nose and swirl it in all around your face. It smoothes pores and keeps the oil at bay for hours and hours! Great Finishing Touch Powder!
I have very oily skin, but manage to look matte before heading out the door with this powder. This is the last thing I put on my face during my makeup routine, and it really does hide fine lines and makes my skin smoother. I still get shiny throughout the day, but at least this powder helps decrease the shine in the morning. Almost as forgiving as photoshop.
This powder is fantastic. Although it is shockingly white in the jar, it is completely translucent on the face. It is super fine and leaves skin very even. Then you've found it. This light, easy to apply powder helps makeup last all day long, and really gave my face a flawsless finish. I tend to go for higher-coverage tinted pressed powders (such as MAC's Studio Fix), but I'm a believer in this one. It's my HG powder!
I used to use Smashbox's. Then I switched to Laura Mercier's. But Make Up For Ever it is! Never have I felt such a smoother-than-a-baby's-bottom, fine-grained, heavenly finish on my face! It makes putting on face makeup fun because I know that (thanks to this powder) it'll last all day until I command it off with my makeup remover. Love. Wow!
This stuff really works!!! I love how it makes my makeup stay on my skin all day. I always feel like my makeup just disappears so quickly and this really helped to set it and help it to stay. It did feel a little drying but I think most setting powders do, that is what makes them work. I have used it over my smashbox and other makeup brands and it works just fine.
