I am so glad I tried this mascara! I love the brush, it applies really easy, very little to no clumping and the clumps are easily worked out. The black color is really intense and looks great. It wears well and I only have to apply one coat, I do use 2 coats for a more dramatic effect. It makes my eyelashes appear very long and thick, just gorgeous. too hard to find!

thickens big time, but clumps
This mascara highly thickened my lashes but also balled up in clumps, making it necessary to use a lash comb to comb out the clumps. I think it's caused by the tube opening being too wide, not enough product wipes off. It gave me the fake lash look which I love. Love it!

Not mindblowing, but good
My friend, Denise, told me that the L'Oreal HIP Mascara is one to avoid, but during my Bobbi Brown makeover the fabulous artist, Rugi (Hey, Rugi!) told me that this is her favorite drugstore mascara. Such conflicting reviews! I didn't know what to do! Oh, of course I did! The only thing to do was to try it for myself. Off I traipsed to Walgreen's (my favorite place to buy drugstore cosmetics)...read more and snatched up a tube. After wearing it for a couple of days, I have to say - this isn't one of my favorite mascaras, but I'm leaning more toward Rugi's assessment. I found the mascara to work well - it separates, lengthens, and defines. Blue Mascara? A Drugstore Rarity I'm Willing to Sample
I’ve been dying to get some products from the HIP High Intensity Pigments line from Loreal, and I’ve been told that using a mascara with blue in it can help bring out blue eyes. (BeneFit Badgal Blue started the craze.) This mascara comes in Blue Black, which I figured would be more sensible than electric blue and the like. (I had a bad experience with pink mascara once - and happened...read more to get engaged that day. Never again.) The mascara came in a brown tube. Although this may be nitpicky of me, I’d prefer the container for a blue-black mascara to be blue, black, or some combination thereof, not brown. It’s kind of misleading since the blonde in me who loves intense eyes runs screaming away from brown mascara. (We’re all told when we’re young brown is the only mascara color to wear that won’t make you look like a prostitute. Lies! Go black, ladies!) As well, the “High Drama†description isn’t terribly accurate: the blue-black color is more a dark navy that looks pretty sensible. You could wear it without anyone noticing the blue at all. It’s not the fullest mascara I’ve tried, but I’d wear it over a defining comb mascara for some punch.
