L'Oréal Paris HiP High Intensity Pigments Cream Shadow Paint Reviews

Pretty good.
If you want to try MAC Paints but are on a budget, grab these on sale. I have two colors, both of them shimmery. I don't like the brush, it's kind of scratchy, and I prefer to use my fingers. Can be used on its own or under powder shadow, and it won't crease. The consistency is nice and smooth too. The little paint tubes are cute and pretty sturdy. If you like cream shadows, these are worth giving a try, but I prefer powder--easier to blend. But really, a very good product. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

WOW!!!! Outstanding!!!
I cannot rave enough about this shadow! First of all I love the packaging. It comes in a plastic case, inside which is a tube of shadow paint and a small brush applicator. You have to puncture a hole in the opening of the tube with the top of the cap ensuring that the product is fresh, clean, and not dried out. The shadow is not irriatating on my very sensitive eyelid skin. It goes on creamy smooth, with a slight shimmery sheen (a step above matte--enough to create beautiful depth, but not enough to highlight fine lines) and lasts all day. I was surprised at how pigmented it is. The color on the package is exactly the color that will show up on your lids--this is not a sheer product that you can blend out and build. You need to thinly apply it and then once it dries (quickly) you can apply a well pigmented powder shadow for your contour and to highlight your brow. I tried Nervy which is a taupe--it was a more dramatic color than I expected, but gorgeous. All of the colors are very flattering if they are as true as this one. Best of all, these are very inexpensive--I can buy 4 or 5 on sale (plus get $1 off coupon at the L'oreal website) for one expensive department store cream shadow for the same quality. Love it! Love it! Love it! I am going to go out an buy a couple more today! — 4 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 9 people said helpful

L'Oreal Paris HiP High Intensity Pigments Cream Shadow Paint
I had to try these the minute I saw them, and I was really impressed as they reminded me of MAC paints, but weren't as expensive. The brush that comes with it isn't that great, but I used an Urban Decay shadow brush and it applied like a dream. I use them as a base or primer for my eye shadow, and I am really impressed with the staying power. I am oily, and this didn't crease or fade or oxidized into some weid color. They are also easy to remove, no rubbing to get it all off, and I find it to be a very versatile produt. I love the nice shades, anyone could find on to suit them, and for drug store cosmetics, l'Oreal makes some really nice products. I am only giving it a 9 because of the crummy little brush, but if you have some good eye shadow brushes, use the. It make the application so much nicer. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Can't beat the quality for the price
Let me start off by saying I'm not a huge fan of cream shadows. I picked some colors up to use as a sort of base for a Halloween look & much to my surprise I ended up liking these! They're pretty smooth and easy to blend, rather long lasting, and resistant to creasing. The colors were also rather bold & I loved it especially as a base. It does kind of work like MAC but it is quite a bit cheaper. The brush that came with it neither here nor there - I don't have sensitive skin so I didn't find it scratchy as some other reviewers did and it gets the job done. Definitely use another brush if you have one though just to have even better results. All in all, I did like these shadows & recommend them to ladies that love cream shadows and for those that might not really care much for cream shadows, you should give it a try. — 2 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

not just eyeshadow!!!
I got this particular eyeshadow in Secretive which is a very light cream color. I really like it because I can use it not only as an eyeshadow, but as an illuminator and highlighter. It has nice lasting power and doesn't cause breakouts when used as something other than a shadow! My only problem is there isn't a huge variety of colors and it can be difficult to blend. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Great base color
I use these primarily as a base and they work great as such; no creasing whatsoever and they can help bring out or deepen a color. I wish they weren't shimmery but otherwise they come in great colors, pretty on their own. I have Nervy, which is a great taupey brown that I pair with my taupe shadows, and Steely, a deep grey that I use too deepen some shadows. Buy them on BOGO because they are a little pricey. — 3 years, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Lasting...
I adore the staying power of these shadows...I have it in # 817 "nervy" and you can put one coat for a great day look or build it darker for a night look, put some smudged eye liner on and its the no fuss smokey eye! — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Great as natural shadow and primer!
I have this in lofty, witty, and steely. Lofty is a bronze color with a hint of shimmer to it, I wear this when I want to make my blue eyes stand out and boy does it! Witty is nice, but I don't care for it's pale color, I only wear it as a primer for other eyeshadows, and it does a great job as primer too! and i dont really like the conventional smokey eye, so i like to take steely (charcoal shimmer color) and dab a small ammount of that on and blend it out for a smokey eye. The consistency of this is great and smooth, you really don't need a lot of it only a tiny pea size of it for BOTH eyelids. My only complaint is with the packaging it has a built in well to put the product in and often a lot of product clings in the corners so a lot of product goes to waste. but i would definitely buy this again! — 3 years, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

great color, but creases after a while
i liked the color of these shadows and thought that they would be great alternatives to the MAC paintpots. but why i returned it was that it started creasing on me throughout the day. i even used the urban decay primer potion to try to keep it in place, but by around 1 or 2 pm it would start creasing on my lids. i also had a hard time blending the product evenly onto my eyelids. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful
