    Mmmm, Not so much

I just bought this product recently after hearing all the rave AND it just so happened to be on sale. I have to say that I didn't really like it. My main reason for the purchase was to use it as base and it just didn't work. It didn't blend well and looked and felt like real paint in a bad way. I'd probably start using MAC paint pots as a friend previously suggested for base.

    Dreamy cream!

I love using cream eyeshadows because of the smooth texture and application look they provide, and the color depth you can achieve, which is what this product delivers. The formula is very smooth and soft and easy to blend/apply (it's also nice and rich, which is awesome!). The Nervy color is the perfect shade of medium brown shimmer for me! I smudge it in the corners and on my lower lash line more a more dramatic effect. If I want a smokier look, I finish by lining and smudging with Rimmel's exaggerate eyeliner in Sable (a dark brown). My fiancee loves it when I have dark, seductive eyes so it gives me more incentive to go the extra mile :). I just wish it came in more colors that I would use (I could definitley go for a dark green, aqua or plum shimmer!)

Wonderful to use as an eyeshadow base!

I used to buy Clinique touch tint, which is a bit more expensive. I needed something a little more matte for my wedding makeup. I decided to give this stuff a try. I like it just as well, if not better. The formula feels very similar to the more expensive stuff. I love the container it comes in. It has a little spot to squirt the product in to dip the brush into. I used to always use the moreck of my hand, but the design for this product is awesome! It kept my eye makeup looking great. I'm not sure how well it would work as a stand alone eyeshadow, but it is great for a base color!

    more fun to play with

i like playing with this makeup more than the actual look i get from it; it's fun to pretend i'm an artist and my face is the canvas and these colors are fun to blend- but they don't blend well with my other eyeshadows and overall it's a pretty timely process putting it on and getting things just right and letting it dry, etc.

    Good substitute for MAC Paints

I bought this at Walgreens when they had a buy one get one free promotion. Quality is comparable to MAC paints and this is a great base for eyeshadows and pigments. Worth buying on sale.

L'Oreal Paris HIP High Intensity Pigments Cream Shadow Paint

Drugstore cosmetic junkies rejoice! This formula makes a wonderful eyeshadow base, in addition to a great shadow. Cream glides on, delivers great color payoff and does not crease. With great, natural colors to choose from, this is yet another fabulous product from the HIP line.
