MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation/Loose Reviews

Got what I expected!
IP47 (3 reviews)I bought this loose foundation in dark and it was just to dark, and actually i don't blame the MA cause she advised me to get medium deep or medium dark and i chose to get dark` (;s i know, weird). But anywho, i tried it home and i ended up still using it cause it gives me this extra tan (i'm full asian). It gives medium coverage, sometimes i use it as a base, but mostly as a finishing powder for my liquid foundation. If you're looking for full coverage than maybe this won't be it. I never really use the applicator with it, it's pretty okay for dabbing the product and then i take a powder brush in circular motion to really distributes it and makes everything really well blended. I use this to school, and i sweat everyday and when i get home it's still looks pretty much like how i put it, it's long-wearing. Which is kind of what i looked for. The packaging of it looks kind of weird and i have to say i don't really like it but however, it seals perfectly and i give it really good mark for the packaging. It's mineralized so it doesn't make me break out so i really like it and i use it every single day :) — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

great!
WUT (22 reviews)in my opinion, this is the best loose powder. works better than most loose powder foundations i've tried from drug stores and better than bare minerals. definitely would buy again as a regular makeup product. — 3 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Great Coverage, Long-Lasting
shanna77 (4 reviews)I've gone through a love/hate relationship with MAC over the past 10 years. Having been a 'former Studio Fix junkie' then throwing it out because it clogged my pores. The mineral aspect of this make-up caught my attention, and so I tried it. I took this along on a girl's weekend to Vegas, and it was absolutely fantastic! MAC foundations are great for long-lasting coverage and this one was no exception. Even after a very, VERY long evening of dancing, (perspiring), etc, this make-up still looked amazing, and it felt lighter and didn't cake at all. (Plus, my pictures look great!) And, it's super-easy to apply, and less messy than other mineral foundations. — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

12 Worst Foundations -
Love , Love!
curlyD (10 reviews)i have to agree JennGlam34.. This foundation is better than BareMinerals.. When the salesgirl tried it on me at the shop, it look so good but when I went home, removed my foundation and tried it on my face, it looked so bad!! I tried using it again and again but got tired as it took me a long time and it was so messy..However, the Mac Mineralize SPF15 foundarion/loose is so easy to apply.. It is messy but not as messy as the BareMinerals one and the price for the BareMinerals is SO EXPENSIVE, however, the Mac is very reasonable. it looks very natural and is kinda like a tinted moisturiser in a powder form. I LOVE IT! — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

I Likey, I Likey!!
JennGlam34 (15 reviews)Slightly Better Than Bare Minerals(ESSCENTUALS). Yes I said it. Don't get me wrong. Bare Minerals is good. But The colour I was using was not an exact match to my colouring. And it took a while to put on. This however is better because: It helps control my sometimes oily skin. The colour Matches perfectly, it's so unreal. And it gives good daytime coverage. Which I prefer, rather than a heavy made up look. Although I don't exactly have great skin either (acne scarring & occasional spot or 2). But I feel comfortable enough and it looks very natural on. It fits in my smallest makeup bag. And most importantly it's so quick to apply!! Yes it is a little messy. But that's powder for you. The puff it comes with is great for applying the powder itself. But sometimes I just use a blending brush to finish it off. And it works well as a stand alone foundation for me personally. I tempted to go buy another pot just in case they run out! I love it!!! and I pray they don't discontinue it!! Good Work MAC! — 3 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 3 people said helpful

Their are better options.
Lifeofaladybug (45 reviews)I am of two minds on the MAC Mineralize Loose Powder Foundation. On the one hand, I think it works great as a loose finishing powder - it goes on smoothly and adds a wonderful polished look to the face. But, as foundation? Nah. The formulation is way too sheer to count as any kind of substantial foundation; the powder puff thingie included with it doesn't work well for blending or applying; it's ridiculously messy in the container because the top doesn't lock on well. The MAC site says that it can be built up to medium coverage, but I disagree. If you're looking for a mineral foundation from MAC, I recommend that you choose the much better Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. If you're looking for a loose finishing powder, MAC also has a better option in their Select Sheer Loose Powder, which comes in larger, less messy packaging. — 3 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
