I never, ever tan my face. So I am constantly trying to get my makeup to perfectly match the rest of my body. So, I decided to try sunless face tanner since I figured we must have some pretty good formulas out there by now. I had read about this one and was expecting more of a gradual tan. Instead I had some pretty heavy color on my face after one application. It was also a little streaky, especially around the hair lines which I tried really hard to avoid, and also I did not like the smell. I eneded up returning it to the store. ok first the GREAT things about neutrogena sun fresh: this product moisturizes just like a great body lotion! i wouldn't even have to own a body lotion-this multi-tasker takes care of that. This is not common among the self tanners. trust me-i've tried alot! .i got TONS of color in just one application-which is great! The color was natural! which is the main objective of a sunless tanner. Now the not so good: it was kinda streaky! but in its defense, i've noticed that self-tanners that aren't gradual always do this. when that much color shows up after just one application there is no room for mistakes and imperfections. period. The worse thing about this product was that i could smell the DHA while my tan was developing! i was VERY disappointed about this because i've been searching for a sunless tanner that doesn't stink and i thought this would be it-hence the "fresh" :( oh well. i guess my poor boyfriend will have to put up with a stinky girlfriend till i find that magic product. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Don't expect moisture though. BUT the one thing I have always wanted out of a sunless tanner is a smell that doesn't smell like sunless tanner, and this is it! It leaves you smelling lile lemongrass and grapefruit and I am telling you that is so way better then that crdled icky smell of sunless tanner. It also provides a great brown shade, almost on the yellow side, so nowhere closer to orange. YAY! But also no sign of moisture either. Boo. But you can also put this on your face!
