Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector Reviews

Complete and total waste of money.
If it were possible for me to give this busted product less than one star, I would do so. While I like Clinique's makeup selections, I have never had even a bit of success with their skin care products. However, because I have sensitive skin and freckles, I am always on the look out for a gentle product that will help them fade away. I thought that this product was pretty expensive, but I am always willing to pay for good results, so I gave it a try. I used it every evening after washing my face with a gentle cleanser and using a toner. Unfortunately for me and my face, I did not receive a good result from this product. It made the skin that I applied the cream to get redder and develop little bumps. The skin became more delicate, and it itched and burned like crazy. Worst of all, to add insult to injury, was that it did not fade a single freckle even the slightest amount. What a terrible waste of time and money. I had to discontinue use of this product and use many soothing moisturizers and healing products just to get it back to the condition it was in before I made the mistake of using this product. I hope that any lady who reads this will take the opportunity to learn from my bad experience and mistake and pass on this product. It will take your money, leave your freckles, and damage and irritate your skin. I would not recommend this product to my very worst enemy, and I can't believe that I was foolish enough to try it on myself. I would estimate that I used this product for two months of continuous use without seeing any hint of a good result, and then it took me two additional months of healing my skin to get it back to where it was before I used this on my face. Don't do it! — 3 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

good
I use the moisturizer version of this, it's nice and thick and so moisturizing, it doesn't cause me to break out and my skin doesn't show any skins of winter dryness. Love it. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 10 people said helpful

Good but not great
I've been using this along with the moisturizer for over a month and I have to say that I've noticed my skin getting brighter and it feels smoother. It hasn't done much for the ance marks, which completely defeats the purpose of the product in my opinion. And I hate to sound cheap but between this small bottle and the moisturizer thats $83 I could save and spend on something that might've actually worked. — 2 years, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 7 of 13 people said helpful

Does Nothing
As a Clinique fan, I am not impressed with this. It hasn't lightened anything on my face but it does leave my skin very soft. With that said, I can get soft skin with much cheaper moisturizers and/or serums. I will not be purchasing this again. — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 6 people said helpful

Not worth it!!!
This product is lacking when it comes to having a noticeable difference in the appearance of my scars. The manager at the Sephora store had rave reviews about this product but after finishing a large bottle I was left wanting more results. The product is extremely overpriced for the results you actually get from one bottle. I feel I could go to the derm and get a prescription for less that amount including the co-pay. It does leave skin feeling soft which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 1. I used this product day and night as suggested in the instructions and still saw no drastic results as advertised. Maybe perhaps if I spend several hundred dollars on several bottles I will see results but who has that kind of patience? I don't... I do not plan to purchase this product again in the future. — 9 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

I swear by this!
Couple years ago when this came out I was iffy on buying it because I had really dark acne scars and sun damage and I kept hearing so many customers say it didnt work on them so I decided to give it a try. First off you have to use it twice a day and with sunscreen. I noticed better results by using the Even Better moisturizer. They say you notice a shade or two lighter in 4 weeks but I didnt notice a significant result until 4 months. I actually was noticing how much less foundation and concealer I was wearing and one day I looked in the mirror and realized how much lighter the spots were that I didnt even see them. There are days now that I leave my house without ANY makeup on and im proud of it. Also you wake up in the morning with your skin feeling baby smooth! I swear by this! — 4 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 4 people said helpful

Clinique Even Better
I bought the entire product line, the sales lady at Macy's in Allen, TX insisted for it to work correctly and to it's fullest it was necessary to buy all the products. I used the products till they were gone, and followed the directions to a T. My skin has light freckling and a few age spots. I did NOT notice my problem areas lighten at all. I did like how the products made my skin feel, that being the ONLY reason I am being generous with 2 stars. There is no lasting effect of the softness either, you take a shower and you are back to the way it was before. I feel the products do not work and are over priced. I have had better luck with Oil of Olay and Roc with spots and the condition of my skin and for a fraction of the Clinique price. — 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 3 people said helpful

It Kinda Worked
I had gotten this months before my wedding hoping to clear up some past acne marks, and it only smoothed my skin and thats it. I never noticed a color change on the marks, it was disappointing. I will say that the pump lasted a long time, even with using 2X a day. And I did like the texture of my skin, felt so silky. — 8 months, 4 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 3 people said helpful

I won't purchase a third bottle...
I really didn't notice any results after the first two bottles. The sales associates told me I need to purchase a third bottle to notice a difference, but I've already invested enough money. Is this some sort of marketing scheme by Clinique? It may have lightened up discolorations slightly, but nothing too noticeable. The only reason I am rating it as many stars as I am is because of the other beneficial ingredients (like antioxidants) in the serum. As a lightening product though, it falls short. — 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 5 people said helpful
