The velvety texture of this medium-coverage bronzer is a dream. The oil-free, subtly luminous powder blends seamlessly, making a faux glow practically goof-proof. The finished look isn't cakey and the product doesn't shift or settle throughout the day -- even on combo skin. It's available in five shades and includes a brush that I actually use to apply the product -- gasp! The compact is large to accommodate the brush, so it's not purse friendly. Still if you're bronzer-obsessed, Soleil Tan De Chanel is worth the hefty price tag.

      Too pricey for a so so bronzer

      It is a nice bronzer, but to be honest it didn't do wonders for me. Save some money, there are cheaper and better bronzers out there! May 27, 2008, 2:46 pm

      great product, but pricey

      I received this as a gift, and I love it- great light coverage, very natural-looking, plus it's chanel! But I wouldn't pay almost $50 for it on my own. I have tried others for 10 dollars that are almost as good--not as good, but good enough. Still a great product if price isn't an issue. May 9, 2008, 7:47 am

      A great find for those of us with oily skin. Applies evenly and doesn't cake up or smear. Very pricy, so if you can find an alternative for less. For those of us with oily skin, I found it worth the investment. May 22, 2008, 4:14 pm
