Softlips is a classic, slim and inexpensive lip balm that should be in every girls' purse. The SPF 20 is it's best feature and so important for keeping lips healthy. A mild shine and fun flavors (like raspberry with green tea extract) also make this a treat. My major complaint is that the slick formula just doesn't last very long. Right after application, it seems to either absorb or slip off (or maybe I'm just licking the great taste away). Whatever the case, expect to (happily) apply it often.

    Slick and tingly

    I love Softlips. Not only is it inexpensive but it isn't thick. It glides on your lips and leaves them with a tingle. Even better is that it doesn't come right off. It's long lasting and has an SPF for those that are super careful about the sun's harmful effects. Priced right for a great little product! July 10, 2008, 5:59 pm

    buyer beware

    i somehow always come back to this balm because i love the scent, and it moisturizes really well. however, after about 2 weeks of using it, i remember why i always stop using it. it gives you terrible blackheads!! the crease below my bottom lip always breaks out, and i end up with deep blackheads right along the edge of m...y lip...the horrifically painful ones that you have to go to the derm to have removed...eeekk!! i've had a few friends who've had the same under-the-lip blackheads that i've had, so i know its not just me (espesh bc i never get blackheads there usually). i haven't used this in years because of what's happened. i guess its a risk you can take and see if it works for you. but just wanted to warn you!     Great inexpensive lip balm

    Good cheap lip balm with sunscreen. Not incredibly moisturizing and slightly waxy which knocks down the rating a bit. They also smell really nice and have a great tube, slim with a good lid. The only thing I don't like about it is that they come in a cardboard and plastic package and I'm not a fan of excessive packaging. August 12, 2009, 12:23 pm

    I absolutely, positively LOVED this fabulous product. It glides on easily and immediatly made my chap lips feel more moistened and conditioned. This is my favorite lip blam EVER and goes great under lipstick also. It's good that it haves SPF so I can wear it ANYWHERE! It's a great price and works better than most beauty sto...re buys.     Comparable to Burt's Bees, but no staying power,

    I actually like the color choices better than Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers, but this does not last long at all compared to that product. Good moisturization, just wish it lasted longer. May 9, 2009, 11:47 pm

    Soft Kissable Lips

    My favorite is the Vanilla - its smoothly glides on and my husband says it smells delicious. It has SPF which protects them and it lasts through fun activities like playing at the beach or out on the boat. Its tingly or is that the kisses hhhhmmmm! April 29, 2009, 3:04 pm

    LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

    I have a container of soft lips in my purse at all times. It is the one lip gloss/ balm that I have found that isn't sticky, smells great, and also keeps my lips moisturized for a while. I loved this one even more because the green tea extract gives your lips an extra zing- tingly feeling, and the scent of the raspberry is ...great! My favorite soft lips :) April 17, 2009, 7:12 am
