Really is the Best
Purely Mineral Makeup by Merle Norman has the prettiest coverage. It's not too heavy. You only need one product, and a good mineral brush. It is build-able, so you can go from very light coverage to full coverage without looking heavy. Does not settle in lines. (This is important for us middle-aged ladies). Perfection!
Where has this makeup been all my life? It is absolutely the best mineral powder out there. Although this was the most I have ever payed for powder, it was so worth it! I have very sensitive skin with eczema, but it is also very oily. I never thought I would find makeup that worked for both of these things and actually stayed on my face! It doesn't irritate my skin, it doesn't make my skin oily at...read more anytime during the day (which is a first!), and it actually stays put. The coverage is excellent, and it looks very natural. Amazing
My mom uses this and I take every chance I can get to sneak into her bathroom and use it. The coverage is amazing for a powder. I have freckles that I like to keep covered up the best I can, and this does the job without concealer or foundation. Good coverage, but makes me breakout
Pro: Great coverage and color, looks wonderful after I put it on, oils mix with it to make it look good after a few minutes, affordable price. Make sure you try on the sample shades to know your correct color. Con: I did have to re-touch after a few hours--my face starts getting oily. Also, I started breaking out after a few days under my chin. I also had small white spots on my upper chee...read morek and nose, and red spots above my eyebrows. Best Mineral Makeup I have used...
and I have used them all. Does not make my pores look larger like every other makeup I have tried, has a slight shimmer in the container but not on my face, just makes it look healthy. It does not settle into my pores or fine lines and I never need a 'touch-up'. Other products I've tried have made my acne worse (this one has no bismuth) and some have made my face very shiny due to the buffing. Color match was perfect and I have fair skin. THE BEST MINERAL FOUNDATION FOR OILY SKIN!
I've tried numerous mineral foundations but this one literally takes the cake! It's made with only FOUR ingredients. Looking at the ingredients in other mineral foundations, they add minerals to it. This one is made just from the minerals. It wears all day without fail. I've never had that! Amazing. Only disadvantage is that you must purchase it at the Merle Norman Studio locations. I like Mineral makeup, but I've never found anything that I LOVE - until now. I read these reviews and decided to try Merle Norman. Luckily I have a store near me. That could be a problem for some. This mineral makeup goes on so soft and smooth and great coverage. Stays on great. Amazing. I also bought the mineral blush which I love too. Love this stuff!
I've used MN products since I was a teenager. In fact it was my first makeup..I have always loved everything, but this Purely Mineral Makeup is by far the greatest thing they've come up with. It gives a nice smooth coverage, and it can be used for light or heavy applications. Lasts all day. I also think for the size of container, anyone who buys this is getting a real bargain. I work at a Merle Norman Studio/Spa and started using this within the last three months. I switched from Jane Iredale's pressed Warm Silk to MN L20. This really is a great foundation and it is a TRUE mineral foundation to boot! No junk or fillers. So, it is perfect for people like me that have hormonal adult acne.
