A pretty pop of color
I bought one of these, tried it, and immediately went online and bought six more: two more for me, two for my sis, and two for my mum. The butter's gel-like consistency slicks on a shiny layer of color that's true to what you see in the pot and smells like fresh fruit. It's highly pigmented, so a little goes a long way. Even though the color payoff is big, the packaging keeps this product casual, so you can rub some on in public without feeling weird. It's so moisturizing, I reach for it instead of my usual lip balm. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful

Makes winter much more pleasant
This is such a great lip protector! Winter in the northeast can be brutal, but this lip butter kept my lips this past winter soft with a perfect hint of color. All the colors (and flavors!) are easy to wear and complimented my fair skin wonderfully. This will be a stocking stuffer for a lot of people next Christmas. — 3 years, 1 month agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

OMG!
One of the best lip moisturizers I have ever tried! I get dry, cracked lips that peel and this product helped soooo much! It is so creamy and moisturizing, there isnt anything better. The colors are even amazing, where they give just a light tint of color on the lips for a flushed look. My favorite is probably Quince and Pomegranate that give just a slight pinky tone. The Wild Rose is great if you want a sheer red look (great alternative for people who are weary of red lipstick). The Jasmine is more of a sheer color which will not make your lips look pale and doesnt have much color. Buuuuuut.... yes there is a but. It does not work very well under lipstick in my experiences. Since it is so moisturizing and creamy, it causes the lipstick to slip too much and you will have a hard time applying lipstick and getting it to smooth out evenly. My suggestion would be to just use a gloss over it if you need an extra boost of color. The lip butter already has a tint and a slight shine but if your a lipgloss girl like I am, gloss works great over this product and keeps the lip butter lasting longer. One more thing I forgot to mention, you can even use it on your cheeks for a hint of color. Works like a cream blush but a little bit too sticky for my liking. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

To Buy or Not to Buy?
Since this is a very much talked about product and considered a little high end, I believe I should give this an extensive review. I received a few in a gift set over the holidays and I'm actually very glad I did not purchase these lip butters with my own money! That's not saying this is a bad product by any means, but I believe there are better ones out there at better prices. Starting with the formula: this lip butter is very emollient and smooth when applying from pot to lips, though I don't believe the term 'butter' comes from the way it applies, but more of how it's not as stiff and waxy as a traditional lip balm in stick form. However, it FEELS like a traditional lip balm given how it just sits on my lips like a film instead of melting into them. Here's where the hydration factor gets a little iffy because of that film-like application since it didn't actually moisturize my lips but neither did it dry them out. I can best describe it as this product 'maintained' the moisture in my lips. If my lips were dry, they remained dry. If my lips were moist (such as after washing my face), they remained moist. Formula aside, this lip butter can be considered more than the traditional balm because of it's pigmentation and shine. My lips have a color of their own and I can add this on top to give me more of a "my lips but better" sheen. The downside to the lip butters having color? Guava and Jasmine definitely give the lips an unnatural white color! Lastly, it should be said that many may not find this lip butter appealing due to its packaging and fragrance (note that the names are given based on shade and the extract added in, not necessarily the smell)! The scent varies between shades, but all came through balm-like and a little herbal-y to me and because the product comes in a little pot (with very strange sides that curve inward!), application is also a little messy and unsanitary. All in all, I must recommend another tinted balm such as Burt's Bees over this one simply for the fact that this one was not very hydrating and because I could get better results (as well as equal color) from a much cheaper product! — 2 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

I'm Addicted
I bought this lip butter in a kit along with 2 other lip butters and 3 glosses, each of them are beautiful! I use the lip butter daily when I put on my make-up to soften my lips after my shower. There is a slight tint, that I find complimentary to my fair skin tone. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Lip Butter truly
This small tub stays forever, I've been using mine for over a year now! I don't dip my finger inside, instead I use a lipsick brush. It's like a tinted lip moisturizer. Good for dry lips. I recommend it as a daily casual comfort lip tint. — 5 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

very moisturizing, pretty colors
this seems to be listed under the lipstain category and I would not describe it as that. In fact, as a natural gloss it wears off pretty quickly. I like that it has more natural ingredients than most other lip products, it is moisturizing and the colors are nice but subtle. — 1 year agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful
