E.L.F. All Over Color Stick Reviews

Just Okay
This product is meant to applied anywhere: eyes, lips, and face; but I mainly just use it for my cheeks. It's hard to pick up the product using any type of brushes. So I usually just end up either directly smearing a bit onto both cheeks which can comes out dramatically strong, or using my fingers to apply a small tint to my cheeks. So overall it's really just a cheap product that can use a bit of better quality to it. I think it may be something worth trying as others may have better luck applying this or finding it useful to apply to other areas but this product just wasn't for me. The shade Persimmon has a nice sparkle to it, but it's a dull shade and really doesn't make the cheeks pop. — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Not what I expected
I put it on my eyes and lips and it didn't look like it should, given it's appearance in the tube. Too silvery on my lips--not at all like the color on the stick! Didn't really work for me as an eyecolor either. Nice texture, but the scent is a little strong although pleasant. — 4 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Doesn't glide on very well
I like the color but it doesn't glide on well. Its not very smooth, but it does seem to have staying power. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Good in theory
I received one of these as a gift and I really liked it at first. I don't remember the name of the shade I had, but it was a nice pink with some shimmer. My favorite way to use it was to blend a bit on my cheeks before applying powder for a nice, natural lit from within kind of glow. The texture was smooth and easy to apply and blend. But then after only 3 or 4 uses, the whole tube broke and the product went flying and was ruined. I know it's not a high priced product, but given the poor quality of the packaging, I'm not sure it's worth it. — 1 day, 5 hours agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Not a multi-tasker
This stick is very soft and creamy, but very high in sheen. It doesn't last long for the lids as eye shadow, and it looks weird on my lips, so it's best used as a blush, when used sparingly. It doesn't give you a stained look like clear gel sticks do, but it has a nice highlighting effect, if you dab it on very sheerly. It would be a big disappointment if this wasn't only a dollar. — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Great as a highlighter!
I know this cover stick is supposed to be a blush and lip sort of thing but I thought it worked best when I used it as a high lighter for my skin. I like how this product is very shiny and has a type of glow to it so it makes a really fantastic high lighter! I can use it everyday for a subtle glow, it does not over power my face and is not extremely noticeable, but it is there. I found that many elf products are a bit shiny so they work well as high lighter, and they are sheer so they tend to look more natural on my face and I do not need to worry as much about having too much pigmentation on my skin even with a heavy hand. I did find this all over stick to be a bit on the unsmooth side, it did look a little chunky, but it was not a big deal, I could blend it easily with my finger. the staying power was really good, I was able to have it on my face all day and last. There is also a smell to this product, I know a lot of people prefer not to have their make up smell sweet like chemicals and such but I did not mind this smell, it was not over powering and it did not smell like anything once I applied it to my face. It can also make a decent lip tint sort of thing. It looks good on the lips if you are into metallic looking lips! the price is also really really good like most elf products. I think I bought this at target for about $3!! I would recommend this product and hope that others do try it since it is pretty good. — 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Meh, it works
Even though it says "All Over," I've only used this as a cream blush or a base for my powder blush. On my lips, it looks like I've got some serious frost sheen on which I am not a fan of, and on my lids, it makes for good eyeshadow but doesn't last very long. The color selection is definitely limited and could do with a wider range, but otherwise this product is great with its creamy texture and pigmentation (just not as multi-functional as I expected) — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

good as a blush
i would never use this color on my eyes, but it works well for cheeks. I apply it with a brush to even it out. It stays on well, and for $1 it is a lot better than I expected! — 1 year, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
