E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color Reviews

One of the Best Dollars You'll Spend
ELF has created some innovative, unique shadow combinations which have more than a fair amount of pigmentation and wear well over a good primer. I wouldn't say that they are particularly "brightening," but they can be absolutely becoming. The packaging is a little flimsy, but what else could you want? — 2 weeks, 3 days agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Good Combination, Great Price
Like most of ELF's products, this product is great product for it's price. All the brightening color eye combination can help create dramatic looks and casual looks. I like to use the lighter colors on the inner corner of my eyes, swipe the color over my entire eye, and dab the outer corner with a tiny bit of darker shade. Unfortunately, the case is very weak and breaks easily. The case did not last a plane ride and was crushed, however the eye shadow inside is still usable. — 1 year, 7 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Better than you'd expect for $1
PROS: Better quality than you'd expect for $1, as good as or better than many drugstore brands. Decent pigmentation. Decent wear when used with eye primer. Smooth texture. CONS: shadow size is really small, triangle shaped pans are a little awkward. Plastic compact looks and feels cheap. Not really "eye brightening"--just shimmery. Shadow can be a bit crumbly and can create fallout. Good for gals who want to try new colors without breaking the bank, or those just getting into makeup. — 1 year, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Review subject
It was decent quality (considering it was a dollar), but I had to use wayyy too much eye primer to keep it from creasing. The colors were good though. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

elf- eyeslipsface
i have these eyeshadows in ivy, silver lining, butternut, and drama. these are great quality, and amazing price, and i love and can trust elf in general. these shadows are very pigmented, last forever, crease proof, and the applicator is good quality. — 2 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Fabulous
I have all of these except the one with white, black and grey. I think they have great pigment [especially for the price] and I like the tiny mirror it has in it! The mirror is kind of useless for make up application but still a nice addiction to the packaging. The shadows are pretty tiny but the quads are definitely worth a dollar. This would be perfect for a girl just starting out with make up. — 2 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 7 people said helpful

okay
I bought nouveau neutral, which I like a lot-it a is very nice subtle, natural looking color combo and easy to apply. I also bought butternut which is a lot bolder. The shadow has a slight sheen, is a bit sheer, easy to blend, looked nice, and lasted for me. It did fade a little bit. There a small amount of product and the packaging is bad--the powder shadow breaks up pretty easily. But for a dollar it is worth it to buy a few of these, especially for colors you do not use very often. Not my first choice in eye shadow, but does have a place in my makeup bag. This is the only drugstore brand I like. — 4 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 4 people said helpful

Pretty shades, and for $1 why not try it?
I purchased this in Butternut a few days ago and I've been wearing almost everyday since. I purchased this for 2 reasons: 1 because I love neutral coppery shadows and 2 because it was only $1 so I figured if I didn't like it then it's not like I'd spent a fortune on it. These do semi brighten the eye but I don't even really care if it's brightening or not I just liked the colours. — 2 years, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 6 of 6 people said helpful

Does its purpose
Its good for the bargain, colors are nice. It can get a bit powdery where you put it on and it might fall on your cheek, so be careful with that. The colors are kinda bright, but this would work great for a halloween costume!!! — 4 years, 11 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful

Use a primer/eyeshadow intensifier
I used this with Duwop's Payoff, and the shadow glided on, with intense color that lasted all day. For only a dollar, you get a nice size (no, it's not tiny) compact with 4 great shades in each, I plan to buy all the colors sets available since it's so cheap! If you use eye shadow primers, I'm sure you will like this too. Excellent price! — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 5 of 5 people said helpful
