Didn't like it at all

Needs Improvement
When I first bought this product I had no expectations from it, I had tried out a bunch of ELF products previously and decided that the brand was decent quality, and the price was unbeatable. This one product though, has sort of changed my mind about ELF, I think they have a lot of hit or miss type or products, but I think the majority of them would be hits. Anyhow, this mascara was not anything special. I think the formula really needs some help though. The dual mascara is a good idea, and I do like the slim packaging, easy for travel, but I do think the wand is lacking. Also the plastic is very cheap feeling, like it could break in my bag if my bag was stuffed, but then, hey, it is a one dollar product so I can not be asking for so much. I also noticed a type of funky smell coming from the mascara... I understand lipstick and lip balms being scented but I thought the extra smell for this product was kind of really gross. It smelt like a sweet sort of chemically synthetic smell sort of like air freshener but the smell was a bit watered down; but was sort of overpowering in the morning. The mascara would also clump up my lashes, dry very quickly, and the wand seemed to pick up too much product. Also chunks of mascara would flake throughout my day and fall into my eye causing irritation. It would also be extremely gross and melt at times making me look like a raccoon or panda. Overall terrible experience, I would be better off taking my $1 to the farmer's market for an apple. Not impressed
For only a dollar, quality is certainly not good. Flakey, bad brush, clumpy, dries quickly (on lashes and in tube), and has a funny sweet/sour smell. Overall bad product. Don't bother

Meh...
Well what did I expect from a one dollar mascara? I really do like most E. L. F. products but this one failed to impress. The brushes on mine ended up clumping up very easily and I found myself having to wipe them off to keep them useable. I didn't use the regular mascara very much but the waterproof one was a pain to take off and ended up flaking and getting bits and pieces on my contacts and in my eyes. And the waterproof one wasnt even all that waterproof. Also there was a wierd smell that I noticed when i put it on. I have pretty thin lashes and i was hoping for the mascara to make them at least appear fuller and longer but it didnt help at all! I guess all the various annoyances were all in keeping witht the cheap one dollar price. I like it
It's nice, doesn't clump. I don't like wearing thick layers of mascara, so this works well for me.
