i like this alot. i like both sides. it really does make my lashes thick,pretty, and i can take it anywhere because it is so skinny!

Not impressed

For only a dollar, quality is certainly not good. Flakey, bad brush, clumpy, dries quickly (on lashes and in tube), and has a funny sweet/sour smell. Overall bad product. As shown, mascara is very tricky when it comes to price

Didn't like it at all

I'm glad I only paid $1 for this. It smelled funny, consistency was horrible, and it didn't do anything for my eyelashes

Needs Improvement

When I first bought this product I had no expectations from it, I had tried out a bunch of ELF products previously and decided that the brand was decent quality, and the price was unbeatable. This one product though, has sort of changed my mind about ELF, I think they have a lot of hit or miss type or products, but I think the majority of them would be hits. Anyhow, this mascara was not anything s...read morepecial. I think the formula really needs some help though. The dual mascara is a good idea, and I do like the slim packaging, easy for travel, but I do think the wand is lacking. Also the plastic is very cheap feeling, like it could break in my bag if my bag was stuffed, but then, hey, it is a one dollar product so I can not be asking for so much. I also noticed a type of funky smell coming from the mascara... I understand lipstick and lip balms being scented but I thought the extra smell for this product was kind of really gross. It smelt like a sweet sort of chemically synthetic smell sort of like air freshener but the smell was a bit watered down; but was sort of overpowering in the morning. The mascara would also clump up my lashes, dry very quickly, and the wand seemed to pick up too much product. Also chunks of mascara would flake throughout my day and fall into my eye causing irritation. It would also be extremely gross and melt at times making me look like a raccoon or panda. Overall terrible experience, I would be better off taking my $1 to the farmer's market for an apple. I would not recommend this to anyone unless the formula changes or something, this products just needs help, and a lot of it too.

Not impressed at all

Didn't like it. I like my eyelashes full, long and thick. I had to put on several coats, but what did I expect really, it was only a dollar.

I Never Really Used It

I used the mascara and it was just terrible. Thank goodness I got it for free, it would be a waste of a dollar. I mean you can't expect much from a dollar mascara. The formula, brush, everything was really bad. You would have to put maany coats on to see anything and it would just be a clumpy mess anyway. That mascara was thrown out quickly.

Not bad for a dollar

I received this free with a promotion elf was running in April. I love elf but have to admit, their products can be hit or miss. I wasn’t expecting much from this product as I’m not a fan of elf’s regular line, I prefer the better quality of their Studio line. Also given some of the negative reviews I’ve read, I probably never would have purchased this on my own. I was pleasantly surpri...read moresed by this product. First of all the design is brilliant (both a regular and waterproof for 50 cents a piece? What?). The formula goes on evenly with no clumps. The brush is small (similar to Maybelline’s Great Lash) so it is great for more natural looks and getting at small corner and lower lashes. I didn’t get a lot of volume from this mascara but it did give me length; I don’t mind this because I don’t always want big lashes if I’m going for a more natural look. It didn’t leave my lashes too stiff (though the waterproof was obviously a little stiffer than the regular). The waterproof mascara was sufficiently waterproof but I only wore it on regular days and only tested it by splashing water on my face (no sweating or water park trials). The color is a real black but not ultra black so again, better for less dramatic looks. It also held a curl well. Overall, it is a great product for the price ($1) and though I wouldn’t say the formula offers anything uniquely special, the price and design certainly do. I’d say this is another elf hit. If I repurchased, it would be for the design and price, maybe as a backup for my handbag so I wouldn’t have to carry two mascaras. I should note that there are a lot of complaints online about this mascara drying out really quickly, though that has not happened to me.

Horrible smell, clumps, dries out in the tube quickly, flakes a ton, and made my lashes feel really brittle and weak. It was far too heavy on them. Even for a dollar, definitely not worth it.
