Finally, a solution to my 'miracle grow' hair!

I hate shaving. Or rather, I have having to shave every single day to keep up that smooth feeling. I have fair skin and dark hair that grows VERY fast. And even when I shave, you can see the dark hair roots in my legs still. Laser treatments are too expensive for me, so I wanted something that didn't include chemicals (Hair removal creams just make my legs turn red and blotchy and remove none ...read moreof my hair) that could give me smooth legs for at least a couple of days. I bought mine on Amazon and got a really good deal for it. I like that it's corded because it doesn't run out of juice mid-hair removal. I was SO scared to use it the first time because of the noise it made and how quickly the gold-plated tweezers were spinning. The first time hurt -- I was pulling hundreds of hairs out by the roots! After the first time it's a lot easier because you get used to it and there aren't as many hairs to pull out. I LOVE the light. I am so glad this model has a light because I can see even the fine, blonde hairs that I would otherwise miss. The shape of the epilator is perfect for my legs. I have yet to try it on my armpits. It's a little harder to get the bikini line because of the curve of the head so I'm thinking about purchasing a smaller version for that area. With a bit of contorting, though, I usually get that area pretty clean too! Mine also came with a massaging attachment. I used that for the first few months and then switched over to the regular head. The only areas I notice a difference in comfort are around my ankles. I prefer the massaging head for that area. I would recommend that any new user start slow and do areas one by one. It does take some time to do it, but if I have a spare hour, I can get smooth legs that last FAR longer than taking 10-15 mins. to shave every day. Plus, I don't have those obnoxious little black roots peeking out! I've also noticed that the more I epilate, the lighter and thinner my leg hair is coming back in. I REALLY like that.

    Great Epilator!

Great epilator! Pulls out even fine, tiny hairs very efficiently. I am used to waxing, so the "pain factor" is bearable for me. (But you can always take a pure aspirin tablet 20 minutes beforehand if irritation is a problem!)

I will never go back to shaving!

I am so happy I bought this. Yes, it was quite painful the first time I used it. I would use it about 30 seconds on one leg and then do the other. I would use it little by little everyday and soon, it didn't hurt at all. I even did under my arms and bikini area! If you stick with it, you will eventually get used to it. I can't believe how much time I save because I don't have to shave every other day in the shower! Yea!

This is the way to go

If you already wax, this item will pay for itself. If you shave, the time savings will free you up and free up cupboard space because you can throw out that messy shaving cream. There is a little bit of smarting at first, but hey- it was that way when you started to tweeze your eyebrows too, so suck it up - it's worth it and you'll become accustomed to it! You can save a little by going with the corded version instead of the cordless.

    Pain is Pain!

If you don't mind your hair being ripped out by the roots in large quantities, this is the product for you. I don't handle pain well, and will stick with the painless products.

    Love it

The first time I used it it was a bit uncomfortable, but certainly nothing alarming. I quickly got used to the pulling sensation, and eventually it stopped bothering me at all. Probably because the areas I was going over were already smooth and didn't have any hair to remove. I did one shin and my bikini line the first time. The next day I went back and cleaned up the leg and did the other one. Un...read morecomfortable, not that painful. Although, I will say, everyone has a different pain tolerance - I have a tattoo on my left calf, and it certainly wasn't anything near what I felt when I got that. The best part about it is the time it lasts. Because it removes hair from the root and not just the surface growth, I'm getting well over a week with no maintenance.
