Divine Scent
The coconut products made by the Body Shop are my absolute favorite. I love coconut, but theirs isn't too sweet, and really just smells like pure coconut. I always wait until Summer is on the way to start using their coconut products, and it always gets me ready for warmer weather. My only complaint is that the body butter is a little greasy, and I wish it absorbed better. — 2 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 4 people said helpful

Not good.
I received my 1 .7 oz Strawberry Body Butter as part of a GWP. Labelled as being for NORMAL skin. PROS: Cute container. Okay for normal skin. CONS: Fake strawberry candy smell (a con, IMO, but might be something you love!). Leaves a slightly sticky residue on your hands even after it 'sinks in'! :( The texture also weirds me out a little bit -- the first time I tried to stick my fingers in to try it out, they just slid across the product, leaving a dent but not scooping up any butter! Doesn't seem to moisturize as much as sit on my skin... I was REALLY excited to receive this product FREE, and was sure I was going to love it... but overall, this is not something that I will not be repurchasing and will probably even struggle to use it all (b/c I won't be using it on my hands!) — 3 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 8 of 12 people said helpful

Not the best body butter out there.
The smell is pleasantly like REAL, fresh blueberries, so it's a more delicate scent (rather than a strong, artificial blueberry smell), and the fragrance does fade in the package if you've had it for awhile. The product does leave a slightly sticky residue feeling after you rub it in, which isn't great (for a butter, I would expect a greasier and less sticky feel). The big tub is really more than I need since I tend to buy/use a lot of different lotions and butters. I don't regret buying it at the time (I think it was on sale or something), and did enjoy using it, but I'm ready to move on to a new product. — 3 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 8 people said helpful

Just OK...
What do I love about The Body Shop Body Butters? The scents. The Body Shop offers the most variety and the scents are usually spot on. What do I not like about them? The jar for one. I find lotions in a tub or jar are messy, hold on to bacteria, and lose some of its potency. The body butters are very moisturizing but do leave a greasy feeling behind, that I did not like. I would stick to body butter tubes. They are not messy, sanitary, and hold their efficacy. Overall, it is OK. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

Fabulous!
These products are fabulous if you can find the right level of moisturizer and the right scent for your skin. They are not too oily and moisturize very well. I recommend trying on a few different scents and walking around for a while before purchasing as the scents can turn or disappear on different people. I personally love the mango and almond body butter. Be aware that the vanilla holiday body butter tastes awful (no, I don't eat the product but I moisturized and then ended up rubbing my lips by accident and the results were horrifying). You get alot of product for your money. I recommend putting unused product in the fridge as it will extend its shelf life. — 1 year, 10 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

YAY!
This is my first body shop purchase, and I am pleasnatly surprised! I must go back for more! The scent is really intoxicating, and it really lasts on your skin! For me, the coconaut scents lingers almost all day Really good and moisturizing, great deal at only $5! I unfortunetly do not have a The Body Shop around me. Their is one in a mall about 45 minutes away, but that's just a little too far. I wish I lived near that mall though! It has a huge Sephora, a MAC counter, a Bare Minerals counter, The Body Shop, a Crabtree and Evelyn, and a Bath and Body Works all under one roof! I also do not have a large Sephora near me- I do have a small one inside my JC Penney. The Sephora's inside JC Penney do not carry all of the brands, and are much smaller. So, my Sephora does not carry the Body Shop products. I was extremely surprised to see this- for only $5! I grabbed it so fast:) The scent is indenetical to a real coconut. It is not the fake coconuty smell of sun tan lotion or anything like that. It smells nice and fresh, and just like an authentic coconut. I actually really like the smell of suntan lotion- but only when I want to smell like suntan lotion. For an everyday, day-to-day scent I don't want to smell like suntan lotion- I want to smell like a real coconut. The feel is nice an buttery smooth- it has an amazing texture! It is not too thick but not really thin either(like a regular run-of-the-mill body lotion). I would still definetly classify it as a body butter, even though it is not the thickest body butter that I've ever used. I think it is the perfect consistensy. When you apply this body butter, it absorbs fast and does NOT leave a greasy, icky feel on your skin. After applying, my skin instantly felt softer and smoother. Plus, it did not leave any kind of greasy residue on my skin in the slightest. The scent actually lasts pretty long and lingers on my skin for most of the day. If you are someon that does not like lingering scents- this is definetly not for you because the scent really leaves your skin smelling like coconut. When the scent starts to die down a bit and you think it is gone, just sniff your skin a little closer and the scent will still be there! The coconut fragrance does fade throughout the day- but at the end of the day it is still lightly there! — 1 year, 9 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 4 of 5 people said helpful

Ultra moisturizing and smells great
Over the years I have tried several of Body Shop's Body Butters. The only one I didn't care for (just because the scent wasn't for me) was the Shea body butter. These are ultra rich body lotions that are great if you have dry skin or if you love the scents that Body Shop has to offer. There is a body butter in just about every scent that the Body Shop offers. If you're a coconut fan, definitely give that one a try. It smells so authentic to me and is reminiscent of summer time. My favorite for a lighter scent is the Cocoa Body Butter. It adds a nice light scent, but isn't anything so strong that it will clash with whatever perfume you wear. You will need to allow extra time for these body butters to sink into your skin before you get dressed or what not. This is actually the only reason I am not giving these the full ten stars. It can be a bit annoying waiting for these to sink into the skin. What is great though, is that these provide lasting moisture. At the end of the day, I can touch my legs and they still feel so soft and nourished. The Body Shop is always running specials so these can be quite affordable. They also offer smaller sizes of these which are great for trying various kinds and/or for travel. These are such a signature Body Shop product and if you like scented body lotions, you should definitely pop into a store and smell around for your favorite. — 4 months, 2 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful

I love the Vit E line!
The vitamin E line at the body shop is wonderful. This body butter is incredibly moisturizing, like all their others. But it has a bonus of vitamin E to nourish and repair your skin. You have to try it! — 3 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Sorry Mango, you used to be my favorite...
I used to love using this Mango one in summer because the scent was refreshing and yummy. But I found a even better scent - Satsuma Orange body butter (btw, the Body Shop Satsuma entire line is amazing, and it has the realistic orange scent!). However, for the performance, I agree with another reviewer; I also prefer their Cocoa Butter body butter because the consistency is richer and it lasts longer. The Mango body butter is still nice, but not too special compared to the Satsuma scent. If I had to choose this specific body butter and Boots' body butter, I may pick Boots' because of their lower price. — 3 years, 3 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 1 people said helpful
