Perfect for sensitive skin

This is an excellent cleanser for dry, sensitive skin. It cleans and rinses thoroughly and is fragrance-free (no noticable scent either). It makes the skin feel clean but not tight. It is reasonably priced. It could contain some antioxidants and do a better job at removing makeup, but again a great choice for sensitive, irritated, or allergy prone skin. — 3 years, 1 month ago

The only time I use this is after an in-office treatment

I got this cleanser as a sample from my dermatologist's office to use post-procedure. That is the only time I will use it. It's very gentle, but doesn't feel like it really cleans my skin. Once I make it past the sensitive skin stage post treatment I go straight back to Clinique. The CeraVe cleanser serves a purpose but it's definitly not one of my favorites. — 3 years, 9 months ago

So, so gentle!

I recently had a procedure done on my face and my dermatologist gave me this product to use, while it was healing. My skin is oily with clogged pores, so I wouldn't suggest this product for that type of skin (it's too gentle to purge pores, etc.), but for what I needed it to do, cleanse without irritating or drying, it absolutely does the job! I imagine if I had sensitive, dry or flaky skin, I would use this as my "go to" cleanser. Additionally, I have also tried Cetaphil and I prefer CeraVe; the texture is nicer and if you flip the bottle over and review the ingredients, CeraVe has a lot less ingredients but still does the job. CeraVe is a simple inexpensive wonderful cleanser. For people with Rosacea there is nothing better. I have eczema as well and so many cleansers irritate my hands when I am washing my face. I went to a derm who prescribed-Retin A (AMAZING) then she gave me samples of Cerave-cleanser & moisturizer...2gether these products worked miracles!!! I had spent thousands on "fancy" stuff & this OT counter, simple, unnoticable item became a miracle for me...My face is awesome & I will NOT use anything but Cerave!!! I bought this because my dermatologist recommended it. At first I wasn't sure, but the facial creams he prescribed me were very drying, so I started using this creamy cleanser regularly and it works very well. The only downfall is that when skin is ultra dry, the cleanser will burn. Overall for normal, non-sensitive skin, it should be perfect. — 7 months ago

This is a GREAT cleanser. Sometimes I have to remember that a good cleanser doesn't need to get all sudsy. Using this is kind of like rubbing lotion on your face, that your rinse off. I've barely had any breakouts since using this face cleanser, and it also removes makeup pretty well (foundation and waterproof mascara). They also have a foaming face wash that I would like to try, but it's hard to find in stores. I'm definitely a fan for life. — 7 months, 2 weeks ago
