Short Time Relationship.......
My family has gone through every formula offered by Herbal Essences. We run into the same problem every time...build up. The first 2 or 3 times the shampoos and conditioners worked great and then they starting building up and giving all 4 of us (2 adults, 2 teenagers) oily roots, flakes, and frizzy ends. Great for long hair!!!
When I use this shampoo with the matching conditioner my hair always looks fab. I have very thick hair and I like the fact that this doesn't weigh my hair down. Splits Free!
It's been three months, and i'm happy to report, this shampoo has maintained my split end free hair since my last hair cut! Of course, it did nothing for the splits that were already there, but it has kept it's "long-term relationship" promise with the rest of my hair (pardon the pun). Review subject
I will only give this item 2 stars because it smells good and it does feel good when lathering up....but that's about it. This item does not have a nice effect on hair, and drugstore brands usually work very well for me. I've been a fan of herbal essences shampoos in the past (hello hydration! is great)...but this was a flop! I have very long hair and it totally dried my hair out and made it look parched after the first use. I used it a few more times in order to give it a test run...but it failed miserably every time. It's not even the type of shampoo that you can use when you run out of another shampoo because it had such a dmaging effect on the hair. I'd say dont buy this at all...there are many other shampoos that may not work, but at least they won't hurt your hair! Didn't work well for me
I've tired many Herbal Essences shampoos and I still haven't found one that works well for me! I have long thick hair that falls out a lot in the shower, so I got this with the hope that it would lessen my hair fall. But this turned out just to be your average everyday shampoo, I used it with the Long Term Relationship conditioner and together they make your hair smell nice and fresh, but it didn't help to hydrate or keep it moisturized. After washing, my hair felt the same like always. After using it a few times however, I realized that my hair actually fell out in the shower more than usual, so I haven't used it ever since. great conditioner!
I haven't used for this, but the conditioner is great. I have fine, wavy, near-waist length hair, and my hair tangles like nobody's business. This conditioner has made my hair shinier, less prone to breakage, detangled, and soft. It keeps the moisture/protein balance in my hair, although I use a protein treatment 1/month. I have experimented with tons of other conditioners, and I have to say, I'm staying with this one. Good lather, some build-up.
This shampoo smells decent, if a little strong. It lathers up nicely and washes out easily.
