I thought this worked okay until I tried a Chi. It doesn't even compare. It leaves hair course and frizzy. I know this is an inexpensive product and might be tempting to try...but really, don't waste your time or money. I hate this straightener with a passion! It didn't get my hair flat enough, and made my hair look frizzy :(. I have course, thick, curly hair so maybe if you have thinner hair it will work fine. I had high hopes for it.. I needed a cheap straightener until I could save enough money to buy a Chi. Well I bought this one and it works great (probably even better than a Chi!) I love it, I've read all the other reviews and I do have to say that mine has never broken down on me. I've had mine already going on 3 yrs. Mine stays on super-hot temperature and straightens wonderfully.
