I got this for my oldest daughter who has really thick wavy hair - and it definitely did not work for her. The dryer got too hot and she had to end up using her old one to finish her hair. This dryer has a great idea, The little door that you open to clean the lint out makes a world of difference in the life and performance of it. It is easy to clean out also. It does a good job drying and is easy enough to work.
