Revlon Custom Creations Foundation Reviews

Great even for dry or flaky skin!
I really like this foundation. I have dry skin, so most foundations accentuate occasional flakes, and look overall terrible. This foundation goes on perfect- smooth and even. Obviously, it is easy to get the right color, which is particularly important in summer. The colors are very natural- not too yellow or too pink, just right. Revlon foundations are good when it comes to shades in general. Custom Creations is a lighter foundation compared to Colorstay, but it covers the imperfections well, isn't obvious on the skin, and is buildable. The finish is smooth, and just slightly dewy- no glitter or oily residue. It stays put all day, doesn't transfer to clothes, doesn't melt or change color. If you like Colorstay, but feel like it's better to use something lighter, and something that washes off the face easier, you are likely to enjoy Custom Creations. The packaging is very nice, I love the pump, it really helps to get just as much as you need without getting bacteria into the bottle. Revlon foundations are my favorite, and I highly recommend Custom Creations along with Colorstay, especially for ladies who have dry skin prone to flaking, because this foundation will help you look great all day. — 11 months, 1 week agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

Not so good...
This foundation didn't work for me at all. I decided to try this to save me $$ and time on purchasing foundations to match my tan. A few minutes after putting this foundation on, I noticed my skin looked parched and blotchy. I immediately returned it. It's a great concept - Revlon just needs to work on the consistancy of the product itself. — 4 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 2 of 2 people said helpful

good product...just not for me
The idea behind it is genius but the actual product itself fell a bit short. It make me look cakey and made my smiles lines and wrinkles more noticeable (and I'm in my 20's...I didn't even know I had any!!!). it provides medium coverage with a natural/shiny finish. I think this is best for someone who has extremely oily skin. Also, It did not break me out. — 1 year, 2 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Didn't meet expectations
I bought this a while back and at first I was content with the purpose of the product but it's basically okay. my skin tone is Fair/Light and purchased the lightest shade it covered pretty well and I was able to blend it. After several weeks I was running out of the lighter shade so technically, it doesn't distribute both evenly leaving you with more of the other shade. The packaging is difficult the shade sticker fell off less than halfway used so I had to match it on my own. Overall its a better product for summer than all year around. — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Not for me
I dont like it at all!. None of the shades worked for me, and when I put it on and looked somewhat decent, i realized that up close it looked really cakey and obvious. I hate unnatural looks. Im definitely sticking to my UD and Benefit foundations...it was a bad purchase — 1 year, 8 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 2 people said helpful

its the best i've ever used
I've been wearing foundation since I was about 12 because of acne starting then. I'm 23 now and my skin goes through phases of more acne and just a few zits. Overall its not very bad, but I have acne scars to cover. Foundations are always too thick, cakey, too light, or smell bad. My skin is constantly changing shades throughout the year so I had a hard time finding one that matches- Im always in inbetween shade till i heard of this! was not disappointed-its just right with shade and coverage. The only thing that concerns me is it may be causing me to get a few zits, but all the ones out there that control acne smell bad. — 3 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Mixed Review
I trust the consumer ratings on this site and decided to try this foundation after reading the favorable ratings. I found the coverage to be buildable, but sheer and had several attempts before finding my perfect color match. Used my Estee transluscent powder and it stayed on all day. A loose powder is essential for all day coverage. Best for flawless skin that needs minimal coverage, but a decent product at this low price. — 3 years, 4 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful

Surprised
I was surprised that I liked this. Being a fan of Estee Lauder I do not use drugstore foundation I like and I have tried many. I keep saying there has to be a cheaper one out there that compares but there never was one. Then I remember seeing this on Oprah's favorites so I gave it a try. I really like it because I was actually able to mix my exact color. Now, the only test will be how long it will last. Giving it a ten for a drugstore foundation. Still not as good as my beloved Estee Lauder but for the price I can live with it. — 3 years, 5 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 1 of 1 people said helpful
