loyal for years
I got a free razor way back over 10 years ago and I've been buying replacement cartridges but still have the same one. It's basic without any bells or whistles, but it works the best for me. I've used the gel-strip cartridges and those leave my skin gooey and I hate that so I go back to the original cartridges. Works great, easy to control and I rarely get any nicks. Good but pricey
these provide a close shave with a comfortable handle. However, they are a bit too expensive for me. I find that disposable cheaper razors do just as well. Close shave
I have been using this basic Gillette Venus razor for sometimes now. Unlike some cheap disposable razor, I can use this one for several times before blades get really dull. The razor head moves so it makes easy to shave around my elbows and knees. Ripped to Shreds!!!
I bought this on a trip to Hawaii because I forgot my razor and stupidly decided to try something new. It ripped me to shreds!!! Not a good beach look. It used to be a 10
The quality of this razor has come down a lot since it's introduction. Perhaps they're cutting down on the cost, but I notice that it doesn't last as long as it used to and the blades seem to be less heavy duty. This is still powerful though, so you have to make sure you've been in the shower for 10 minutes and your skin's well hydrated and lubricated before you start shaving. Better than I expected!
I have been a loyal Schick Quatro user for years;never had a nick or cut since using Schick. However, I came across several BOGO coupons for the Venus Original (disposable version), and since I am a bargain shopper extraordinaire, how could I pass up this opportunity? I have long believed that Venus has "cornered" the market for razors for women for quite some time and I was convinced that it was one of those products that was mostly hype and not worth the price. Well, after my experience, the product is still overpriced but it works. What I really liked about it was how easy it was to rinse the gel and hair off of the razor, mostly due to the back of the razor being "open" which makes it so much easier to clean. I can't tell you how many times I have had to throw out a razor, not because it was dull, but because it was becoming impossible to de-clog. Another great feature about this razor is the pivoting head; perfect for ankles, knees and lots of curves. I also didn't cut myself once, but I would say that I felt the Venus razor was sharper than the Schick so be careful not to inadvertently press or push; just glide. I would definitely recommend, but for me personally, I will only purchase with the BOGO coupons. But I am really like that with any brand of razor! They are expensive and I like to stock up. I will also try the 5 blade Venus in the Summer. A timeless classic
This is one of only a few products that I have used faithfully for years. It removes all of the unwanted hair with one stroke and doesn't nick my ankles and knees. Don't be fooled by the so called moisturizing strip, you'll need to follow each shave with lotion.
